5writingWrites up a math modeling competition paper in Typst or LaTeX, choosing the contest template and placing each figure in the section that uses it.
This is the paper-writing stage of a math modeling workflow. It picks up after the modeling, plotting and diagram stages, which supply real data, figure PDFs and record files, and its job is to choose the contest template and typesetting engine, organize the paper's structure and decide which figure goes into which section.
Before writing, the agent asks you to pick LaTeX, compiled twice with xelatex, or Typst, after checking plan.md for an earlier choice; LaTeX is the default if you skip the question. Bundled templates cover many Chinese contests, among them cumcm, huaweibei and mathorcup, and English ones such as mcm and apmcm, each in both engines. When a matching template exists, the paper is never started from scratch.
Every number and chart conclusion must trace back to reports/RESULTS_REPORT.md or the files in figures, with no invented, estimated or differently rounded values. MCM, ICM and COMAP papers are written in English unless you ask for Chinese.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 03f4eb3. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

Math Modeling Paper Writer loads about 2.1k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 36 tokens; SKILL.md has 253 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check noted patterns worth knowing about, such as sudo or a known installer.
allowed-tools: Bash(*), Read, Write, Edit, Grep, Glob, Agent, WebSearch, WebFetchAutomated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 253 words (~2,119 tokens).

Math Modeling Paper Writer fits situations like: turning finished modeling results and figures into a contest paper; choosing a template for CUMCM, MCM or another named contest; switching a draft between the LaTeX and Typst versions of a template.
Run `npx skills add jihe520/MathModelAgent --skill 5writing -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/5writing in jihe520/MathModelAgent) into .claude/skills/5writing in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add jihe520/MathModelAgent --skill 5writing -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/5writing in jihe520/MathModelAgent) into .agents/skills/5writing in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add jihe520/MathModelAgent --skill 5writing -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/5writing, .gemini/skills/5writing, .github/skills/5writing and .opencode/skills/5writing in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Math Modeling Paper Writer is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: LaTeX with xelatex, or the Typst compiler; Earlier-stage outputs: reports/RESULTS_REPORT.md and figures as PDF. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Bash(*), Read, Write, Edit, Grep, Glob, Agent, WebSearch, WebFetch.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found notes only (pre-approves every shell command (allowed-tools: bash)), nothing it rates as a warning. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
No licence was found for Math Modeling Paper Writer or its repository. Without one, default copyright applies: ask the author before reusing or redistributing it.
About 2.1k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 8.5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
