typst-authorGenerates, edits and debugs Typst (.typ) documents using the bundled Typst documentation as the source of truth, with formatting checks after each edit.
This skill helps the agent write idiomatic Typst, edit and troubleshoot Typst projects and answer syntax questions. It includes a minimal document example and workflows for creating a new project, editing existing content and styling with set and show rules, backed by a bundled docs folder covering syntax, styling, scripting, page setup, tables, tutorials and changelogs.
The first rule is to trust the local documentation over training data, which may be outdated, and to verify function names, parameters and syntax against the docs before generating code. A minimal Typst probe is run only when runtime behavior stays unclear after checking. After each .typ file is created or edited, the agent follows post-edit formatting checks, using typstyle when it is available.
7 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 03f4eb3. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are typst).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Typst Author loads about 2.3k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 80 tokens; SKILL.md has 923 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 923 words (~2,306 tokens).
“This skill helps agents generate, edit, and reason about Typst documents. It provides quick‑start examples, detailed workflows, and links to the full Typst documentation (guides, tutorials, reference).”

Typst Author fits situations like: creating a new Typst document or project; editing an existing .typ file; debugging Typst compilation errors; answering Typst syntax or function questions.
Run `npx skills add jihe520/MathModelAgent --skill typst-author -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/typst-author in jihe520/MathModelAgent) into .claude/skills/typst-author in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add jihe520/MathModelAgent --skill typst-author -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/typst-author in jihe520/MathModelAgent) into .agents/skills/typst-author in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add jihe520/MathModelAgent --skill typst-author -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/typst-author, .gemini/skills/typst-author, .github/skills/typst-author and .opencode/skills/typst-author in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Typst Author is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: Typst, for compiling and probing documents; typstyle for the formatting checks, when available.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
No licence was found for Typst Author or its repository. Without one, default copyright applies: ask the author before reusing or redistributing it.
About 2.3k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 9.2k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
