Godogen is an agent skill from liangdabiao/Godogen. This skill should be used when the user asks to "make a game", "build a game", "generate a game", or wants to generate or update a complete Godot game from a natural language description.
Its SKILL.md is about 1.5k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 22 other files (for example `android-build.md`, `asset-gen.md` and `asset-planner.md`).
It sits in Game Development, covering Game development and Visual regression testing. It works with Godot. The repository describes itself as: liang's Godogen: 使用 Claude Code 构建完整 Godot 4 项目的技能集,你描述你想要的内容。AI pipeline 会设计架构、生成美术资源、编写每一行代码、从运行的游戏引擎中截取截图,并修复看起来不对的地方。输出是一个真正的 Godot 4…. The licence is MIT.
2 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 8f31578. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Ships script files (Python, from the files we listed), which the agent can run.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Godogen loads about 1.5k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 49 tokens; SKILL.md has 610 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from liangdabiao/Godogen at commit 8f31578, republished under its MIT licence (© liangdabiao). 610 words, ~1,506 tokens.

When you need to look up a Godot class API (methods, properties, signals), use Skill(skill="godot-api") with your query. This runs in a separate context to avoid loading large API docs into the main pipeline.
Be specific about what you need — the docs are comprehensive and full returns are large:
"CharacterBody3D: what method applies velocity and slides along collisions?""full API for AnimationPlayer"Examples:
After capturing screenshots, verify with Skill(skill="visual-qa"). Runs in a forked context with Claude's native vision.
Skill(skill="visual-qa") "Check reference.png against screenshots/{task}/frame0003.png — Goal: ..., Verify: ..."Skill(skill="visual-qa") "Check reference.png against frame1.png frame2.png ... — Goal: ..., Verify: ..."Skill(skill="visual-qa") "Are surfaces showing magenta? screenshots/{task}/frame*.png"Save output to visual-qa/{N}.md. See visual-qa.md for full usage.
Keep important state in files so the pipeline can resume even after compaction or clear:
After completing each task: update PLAN.md status, write discoveries to MEMORY.md, git commit. This ensures the pipeline can resume from any point by reading these files.
If the context becomes polluted from debugging loops, manually compact with:
/compact "Discard failed debugging attempts."
Don't trust code — verify on screenshots. The most common failure mode: code looks correct, you assume it works, and report "everything's fine." Then screenshots reveal broken placement, wrong scale, missing elements, clipped geometry — dozens of small details that go wrong in unexpected ways, especially with custom assets. Visual QA is your quality partner: use it actively after every task, not as a formality.
Visual QA runs inline with each task. Never ignore a fail verdict — always act on it before marking a task done.
VQA reports are clear signal. If a significant issue is reported, fix it. If you genuinely believe it's a false positive — report it to the user and let them decide. Never silently ignore a fail verdict.
The final task in PLAN.md is a presentation video — a script that showcases gameplay in a ~30-second cinematic MP4.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Godogen needs Python for the scripts in its folder. Our summary lists: Python 3.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.

About 1.5k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 6k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
