Verdaccio Pull Request Workflow
verdaccio/verdaccio
Takes a change through a verdaccio pull request: branch, local checks, changeset, title and body, labels, CI and review rounds, and ports to other release lines.

changelog-creationDecides whether a code change needs a changelog entry and creates the JSON file in .changelogs with the right type, framework and user-facing title.
An entry is required for any PR that changes source code: bug fixes, features, behavior changes, deprecations and security fixes. It is not required for test-only, documentation-only or CI and tooling changes, or for a bug that was introduced but never released. A deliberate skip on a change under handsontable/src or the wrappers is marked with the skip-changelog tag in the PR description, outside HTML comments.
The workflow is PR first, since the file is named after the GitHub PR number. Commit the change, push and create the PR with gh, read its number from the printed URL, then create a JSON file named after that number in the repo-root .changelogs folder, never in a package subdirectory, and commit and push it with a changelog message that carries the DEV task key and the PR number.
Fields include issuesOrigin (private by default, public only when citing a real public GitHub issue), type (added, changed, fixed, deprecated, removed or security), framework (none for core, or react, angular or vue wrappers) and a breaking flag set to true only when existing behavior breaks. Titles are written from the user's view in the past tense, specific, ending with a period.
5 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit fff66b1. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
gitghnodenpmFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:
handsontable.comFrom URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Handsontable Changelog Entry loads about 1.6k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 89 tokens; SKILL.md has 810 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 810 words (~1,628 tokens).
“Any PR that changes source code: bug fixes, features, behavior changes, deprecations, security fixes.”
Just SKILL.md in .claude/skills/changelog-creation of handsontable/handsontable.

Handsontable Changelog Entry fits situations like: A PR changes source code and needs a changelog entry; before committing a bug fix, feature or behavior change; deciding whether a change needs an entry or can skip one; choosing the right type and framework for an entry.
Run `npx skills add handsontable/handsontable --skill changelog-creation -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.claude/skills/changelog-creation in handsontable/handsontable) into .claude/skills/changelog-creation in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add handsontable/handsontable --skill changelog-creation -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.claude/skills/changelog-creation in handsontable/handsontable) into .agents/skills/changelog-creation in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add handsontable/handsontable --skill changelog-creation -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/changelog-creation, .gemini/skills/changelog-creation, .github/skills/changelog-creation and .opencode/skills/changelog-creation in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Handsontable Changelog Entry needs the command-line tools its instructions call (git, gh, node and npm). Our summary lists: The GitHub CLI (`gh`) to create the PR first; The Handsontable repository with its .changelogs directory.
SKILL.md names 1 domain. In commands or code: handsontable.com; the agent is likely to contact it when it follows the instructions. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Handsontable Changelog Entry has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1.6k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 6.5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
