SEO Quick is an agent skill from zubair-trabzada/dataforseo-claude. 60-second SEO snapshot powered by the DataForSEO API. Three parallel calls (DataForSEO Labs domain overview, Backlinks summary, ranked keywords) for core metrics on any domain — total keywords, traffic estimate, backlinks, top rankings — without waiting for a full audit.
Its SKILL.md is about 690 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Marketing & SEO, covering Link building. The repository describes itself as: SEO Agency Killer for Claude Code — powered by DataForSEO. 13 skills + 5 subagents for keyword research, rank tracking, backlink audits, technical crawls, competitor analysis… The licence is MIT.
7 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 67ac4f0. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:
BashWriteFrom allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are bash).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
Links to these hosts (documentation or services it may open):
dataforseo.comFrom URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:
DATAFORSEO_PASSWORDFrom names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
SEO Quick loads about 694 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 70 tokens; SKILL.md has 220 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check noted patterns worth knowing about, such as sudo or a known installer.
2. Write them to `~/.claude/skills/seo/.env`:3. `chmod 600 ~/.claude/skills/seo/.env`allowed-tools: Bash, WriteAutomated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

If exit code is 2: the script prints the DataForSEO setup wizard to stdout. STOP, display that wizard to the user verbatim, and wait for them to paste credentials in this format:

SEO Quick fits situations like: tasks that involve Link building.
Run `npx skills add zubair-trabzada/dataforseo-claude --skill seo-quick -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/seo-quick in zubair-trabzada/dataforseo-claude) into .claude/skills/seo-quick in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add zubair-trabzada/dataforseo-claude --skill seo-quick -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/seo-quick in zubair-trabzada/dataforseo-claude) into .agents/skills/seo-quick in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add zubair-trabzada/dataforseo-claude --skill seo-quick -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/seo-quick, .gemini/skills/seo-quick, .github/skills/seo-quick and .opencode/skills/seo-quick in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, SEO Quick needs credentials named DATAFORSEO_PASSWORD. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Bash, Write.
SKILL.md names 1 domain. As links in the text: dataforseo.com. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found notes only (mentions a .env file; pre-approves every shell command (allowed-tools: bash)), nothing it rates as a warning. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
SEO Quick is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 694 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.8k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
Skills that share tags, products or a category with SEO Quick: FLOW SEO Framework (AgriciDaniel/claude-seo, 19k stars), SEO Dataforseo (AgriciDaniel/codex-seo, 799 stars), Backlink Check (Ryze-AI-Adgent/open-seo-mcp-skills, 4.7k stars) and Beyondseo (beyondtahir/beyondseo, 161 stars).
