seo-compareCompares two domains side by side with DataForSEO data on traffic, keywords, backlinks, referring domains and keyword overlap, then states which has the stronger position.
A preflight script runs first. If DataForSEO credentials are missing, the agent shows the setup wizard, waits for you to paste your login and API password, stores them in a local .env file with restricted permissions, and verifies them with a test call, without echoing them back. Handling of a pending account verification and of wrong-password errors is spelled out.
The comparison itself runs domain overview and backlink summary scripts for each domain plus a keyword intersection call, in parallel, at roughly five cents per comparison. Output is a side-by-side table with a winner column, a SERP overlap section giving shared keywords and where each domain wins, and a short verdict of three to four sentences on which domain is stronger and why.
7 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 67ac4f0. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:
BashWriteFrom allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are bash).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
Links to these hosts (documentation or services it may open):
dataforseo.comFrom URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:
DATAFORSEO_PASSWORDFrom names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
SEO Domain Comparison loads about 892 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 63 tokens; SKILL.md has 258 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check noted patterns worth knowing about, such as sudo or a known installer.

It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, SEO Domain Comparison needs credentials named DATAFORSEO_PASSWORD. Our summary lists: DataForSEO API login and API password; The shared seo skill scripts, including preflight.sh. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Bash, Write.
SKILL.md names 1 domain. As links in the text: dataforseo.com. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found notes only (mentions a .env file; pre-approves every shell command (allowed-tools: bash)), nothing it rates as a warning. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
