seo-auditRuns a full SEO audit through the DataForSEO API with five parallel subagents and produces a composite 0 to 100 SEO score, an action plan and an audit JSON for PDF export.
The skill orchestrates five specialist subagents that run in parallel, covering keywords, technical issues, competitors, content and backlinks. Each returns JSON scores and findings drawn from live calls to DataForSEO's Keywords Data, SERP, On-Page, Backlinks and Labs endpoints. The orchestrator combines them into a composite score from 0 to 100, a prioritized action plan and an audit JSON file intended for PDF export. A full audit is noted as costing roughly $0.10 to $0.30 in API usage.
Before anything else it runs a preflight script that checks for DataForSEO credentials. If they are missing, it shows a setup wizard, asks you to paste your login and API password, saves them to a local .env file with restricted permissions, and verifies them with a test call. The instructions forbid echoing the credentials back or committing them.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 67ac4f0. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:
BashWriteReadAgentFrom allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are bash and json).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:
dataforseo.comFrom URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:
DATAFORSEO_PASSWORDFrom names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
DataForSEO Site Audit loads about 1.5k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 87 tokens; SKILL.md has 467 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check noted patterns worth knowing about, such as sudo or a known installer.

The output must end with this footer:
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
📡 Data source: DataForSEO API (https://dataforseo.com)
Endpoints used in this audit:
• Keywords pillar — Labs ranked_keywords + bulk_keyword_difficulty
• Technical pillar — On-Page instant_pages / task_post + summary
• Competitors — Labs competitors_domain + domain_intersection
• Content — Labs ranked_keywords + domain_intersection
• Authority — Backlinks summary + referring_domains + anchors
Total API cost for this audit: ~$<Y>
Run `/seo report-pdf <domain>` to generate the client PDF.
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────Track total cost by summing the cost field of each API response. If any
pillar fails (e.g. Backlinks subscription inactive — status 40400), surface
the DataForSEO sign-up / subscription URL prominently, so the user can
activate the missing data source and re-run.
A full audit typically uses ~$0.10-0.30 of DataForSEO credit. Warn the user if running on the free trial credit ($1).

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, DataForSEO Site Audit needs credentials named DATAFORSEO_PASSWORD. Our summary lists: A DataForSEO account with an API login and password; Python to run the bundled preflight and keyword scripts; A domain to audit. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Bash, Write, Read, Agent.
SKILL.md names 1 domain. In commands or code: dataforseo.com; the agent is likely to contact it when it follows the instructions. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found notes only (mentions a .env file; pre-approves every shell command (allowed-tools: bash)), nothing it rates as a warning. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
DataForSEO Site Audit is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1.5k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 6.1k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
