yao-decisionReturns typed answers from a decision model, such as a category choice, a score on a labeled scale or a probability, each with confidence, for routing and grading tasks.
The skill documents the decision_decide tool, run through the tai command line. You pass a state (the context to judge) and one or more named questions, and the decision model answers in machine-readable form instead of free text. Three question types exist: choice picks one of several described options, score rates against a list of level labels, and noul estimates a probability between 0 and 1.
Choice and score answers include probabilities and a confidence value. You can send one state or a batch of states against the same questions, read states and questions from files, and select a provider or a model override. The timeout is configurable and defaults to 60 seconds. Typical uses are ticket routing, content grading and intent detection.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit eea1e7e. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are bash and json).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

Yao Decision Tools loads about 1.3k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 64 tokens; SKILL.md has 334 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 334 words (~1,260 tokens).
“Use these tools when you need structured, typed decisions rather than free-form LLM text. Decision models return machine-readable answers with probabilities and confidence scores.”

Yao Decision Tools fits situations like: routing customer messages to the right department with a confidence value; grading content or an agent reply on a labeled quality scale; detecting intent or sentiment across a batch of messages; estimating the probability that a statement is positive or true.
Run `npx skills add YaoApp/yao --skill yao-decision -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (tools/skills/yao-decision in YaoApp/yao) into .claude/skills/yao-decision in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add YaoApp/yao --skill yao-decision -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (tools/skills/yao-decision in YaoApp/yao) into .agents/skills/yao-decision in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add YaoApp/yao --skill yao-decision -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/yao-decision, .gemini/skills/yao-decision, .github/skills/yao-decision and .opencode/skills/yao-decision in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Yao Decision Tools is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: The tai command line tool; A configured decision model provider.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Yao Decision Tools has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1.3k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
