yao-agentLists, downloads, references and deploys agents on a Yao host through five bash-invoked tools, keeping edits to the smith namespace while allowing read-only study of any agent.
The skill wraps five tools called through the tai bash command. agent_list returns id, name, description and capabilities for every agent, optionally filtered by namespace. agent_download pulls a smith-namespace agent's source into a development directory for editing and is restricted to that namespace only, while agent_reference downloads any agent's source, from any namespace, into a separate read-only study folder.
agent_deploy pushes source from the sandbox development directory back to the host, again restricted to the smith namespace, with an optional message for logging, and rejects an attempt to deploy into another namespace. A further agent_connectors tool, described but truncated in the excerpt, is mentioned for querying the LLM connector matrix.

Yao Agent Management Tools loads about 873 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 65 tokens; SKILL.md has 262 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 262 words (~873 tokens).
“Five tools for managing agents on the host, called via bash.”

Run `npx skills add YaoApp/yao --skill yao-agent -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (tools/skills/yao-agent in YaoApp/yao) into .claude/skills/yao-agent in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add YaoApp/yao --skill yao-agent -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (tools/skills/yao-agent in YaoApp/yao) into .agents/skills/yao-agent in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add YaoApp/yao --skill yao-agent -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/yao-agent, .gemini/skills/yao-agent, .github/skills/yao-agent and .opencode/skills/yao-agent in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Yao Agent Management Tools is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: The tai CLI on the host.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Yao Agent Management Tools has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 873 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3.5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
