Runs a spec-driven workflow from PRD to epic to GitHub issues to parallel agents, with status, standup and blocked-work reports from bundled scripts.
Looks up kanban boards and task status through two bash-invoked tools instead of guessing, listing boards first and then filtering tasks by status, board or assistant.

yao-boardLooks up kanban boards and task status through two bash-invoked tools instead of guessing, listing boards first and then filtering tasks by status, board or assistant.
The skill exists so questions about boards, tasks or project progress are always answered from the tai tool rather than from assumption. board_list lists every kanban board along with its columns and task counts, and is meant to run first so the agent knows which board IDs exist.
task_list then filters tasks by run_status (pending, running, waiting, completed or failed), by assistant_id, by board_id, and supports paging with page and page_size, defaulting to page 1 and 50 items per page. All output comes back as JSON, which the agent reads directly rather than reformatting from memory.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit eea1e7e. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Yao Kanban Board Query loads about 275 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 48 tokens; SKILL.md has 92 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 92 words (~275 tokens).
“Two tools for querying kanban boards and tasks, called via bash.”
Just SKILL.md in tools/skills/yao-board of YaoApp/yao.

The skill exists so questions about boards, tasks or project progress are always answered from the tai tool rather than from assumption. board_list lists every kanban board along with its columns and task counts, and is meant to run first so the agent knows which board IDs exist.
Yao Kanban Board Query fits situations like: checking the status of a specific task or group of tasks; finding which kanban boards exist before filtering tasks on one; reporting project progress based on live task state rather than guesses.
Run `npx skills add YaoApp/yao --skill yao-board -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (tools/skills/yao-board in YaoApp/yao) into .claude/skills/yao-board in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add YaoApp/yao --skill yao-board -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (tools/skills/yao-board in YaoApp/yao) into .agents/skills/yao-board in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add YaoApp/yao --skill yao-board -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/yao-board, .gemini/skills/yao-board, .github/skills/yao-board and .opencode/skills/yao-board in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Yao Kanban Board Query is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: The tai CLI with board_list and task_list tools.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Yao Kanban Board Query has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 275 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 1.1k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
