What it does
The agent reads the current branch, status and diff statistics, stops if there is nothing to commit, and respects anything you have already staged. By default everything goes in one commit; changes are split only when changelog entries sit beside source changes (the changelog becomes its own commit) or when clearly independent changes are mixed together, since two files changed for the same reason belong together.
Messages are verb-first, imperative and under 72 characters, drawn from verbs such as Fix, Add, Update, Refactor, Remove and Bump, with no issue or PR references because GitHub adds them on squash-merge. Each proposed commit is previewed with its files before running, only specific files are staged and never everything at once, and `git log --oneline` confirms the result afterwards. A section on changelog entry files also appears in the skill.
