automateTurns a recurring chore into a scheduled or event-triggered Superset agent, drafting its prompt, picking a target and trigger, and reviewing the first run.
Walks through turning something you keep doing manually into an automation: pinning down the outcome, cadence, inputs and definition of done, then drafting a zero-context prompt for the agent that will run unattended. Rules that are likely to change, such as triage criteria, are kept in a document the automation reads at runtime rather than baked into the prompt, and a report-producing chore ends by publishing an HTML page so you open one link instead of reading run logs.
You then choose a target with `superset projects list` (a fresh workspace each run) or `superset workspaces list --local` (the same workspace reused, for stateful tasks), and choose what fires it: a schedule, or an event from Slack, GitHub, Linear, Sentry, Notion, Microsoft Teams or Gmail. Event triggers are resolved to provider ids with a command such as `superset automations trigger-options --group slack`, since a config needs the id, not a typed-in channel or repo name.
5 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 6b94a61. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:
Bash(superset:*)From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are bash and json).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Superset Automate loads about 1.4k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 133 tokens; SKILL.md has 650 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 650 words (~1,365 tokens).
“Turn "I keep doing X every morning" into an automation that does X on a schedule, or "someone should look at every new PR" into one that fires on the event.”

Varnan-Tech/opendirectory
Reads yesterday's Linear issues and GitHub commits for the authenticated user, formats a standup update (done / doing / blockers), and posts it to Slack.
PostHog/posthog
Build a Loop for PostHog Desktop: a workflow that creates an AI task each time its trigger fires, optionally followed by a Slack or email notification with the task's result.
gooseworks-ai/goose-skills
Daily meeting preparation system that checks your calendar each morning, deeply researches external attendees (LinkedIn, company info, GitHub, past notes), and sends you personalized briefs via…
aeonfun/aeon
Sets up and manages an Aeon agent instance that runs skills on a schedule through GitHub Actions: starting, rescheduling, debugging, editing skills and mining chat history.
jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace
Build automated pipelines from Granola meeting notes to GitHub Issues, Linear tasks, Slack notifications, and documentation updates using Zapier and GitHub Actions.
superset-sh/superset
Edits real mobile screen recordings into a configurable demo video with phone framing, title cards, cutaways and an end card, using a bundled renderer.
superset-sh/superset
Sweeps every Superset workspace, task and agent terminal to report what finished, what needs review and what is blocked, read-only, and can publish the digest as a page.
superset-sh/superset
Opens pages, takes screenshots, reads the console, clicks and types in the browser panes of a Superset workspace, with Browser Use as a fallback for other browsers.
superset-sh/superset
Generates a Drizzle migration on a fresh Neon branch and runs a production-safety checklist for table sizes, lock order and load rehearsal before the PR opens.
superset-sh/superset
Turns a bug report or feature request about Superset into a short, scannable write-up and submits it privately or as a public GitHub issue.
superset-sh/superset
Does a read-only first pass on a possible production incident: gathers deploy, Sentry and health-check signals, proposes a severity and status message, then stops for human approval.

Superset Automate fits situations like: turning a daily or weekly manual chore into a scheduled agent; setting up an agent that reacts whenever a GitHub pull request opens; building a nightly digest that publishes to one link instead of a log; deciding whether an automation needs a fresh workspace or a reused one.
Run `npx skills add superset-sh/superset --skill automate -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (plugins/superset/skills/automate in superset-sh/superset) into .claude/skills/automate in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add superset-sh/superset --skill automate -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (plugins/superset/skills/automate in superset-sh/superset) into .agents/skills/automate in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add superset-sh/superset --skill automate -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/automate, .gemini/skills/automate, .github/skills/automate and .opencode/skills/automate in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Superset Automate is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: The `superset` CLI; A connected event provider such as Slack, GitHub, Linear or Sentry. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Bash(superset:*).
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Superset Automate has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1.4k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 5.5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
