incident-triageDoes a read-only first pass on a possible production incident: gathers deploy, Sentry and health-check signals, proposes a severity and status message, then stops for human approval.
This skill is for Superset's hosted services when someone reports an outage, an error spike, or asks whether something is down. The agent only gathers facts and drafts. It never deploys, rolls back, disables workflows, changes flags, resolves Sentry issues, runs SQL that writes, or posts to the status page or any chat channel. It reads the incident runbook's severity and status page sections first, uses UTC times, and writes not checked with a reason when a tool is missing or a check fails instead of guessing.
It begins by framing the report in three lines: what users see, when it started and who is affected. If only one user or machine is affected, it stops and points to a support route and the superset doctor command. Otherwise it runs checks in parallel: recent production deploys and commits from the last six hours, with attention to the database deploy job; Sentry issues first seen or spiking in the last 2 hours across all projects; and GET-only health checks with a 10-second timeout against the relay, realtime and API endpoints, plus the public status page summary. The result is a draft severity and status message for a human to approve and post.
4 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 6b94a61. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
curlghvercelgitFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:
status.superset.shrelay.superset.shrealtime.superset.shapi.superset.shFrom URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Superset Incident Triage loads about 1k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 82 tokens; SKILL.md has 417 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 417 words (~1,040 tokens).
“You gather facts and draft. A human decides and posts. The runbook is docs/runbooks/incidents.md; read its "Severity" and "Status page updates" sections before you start.”
Just SKILL.md in .agents/skills/incident-triage of superset-sh/superset.

Run `npx skills add superset-sh/superset --skill incident-triage -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/incident-triage in superset-sh/superset) into .claude/skills/incident-triage in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add superset-sh/superset --skill incident-triage -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/incident-triage in superset-sh/superset) into .agents/skills/incident-triage in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add superset-sh/superset --skill incident-triage -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/incident-triage, .gemini/skills/incident-triage, .github/skills/incident-triage and .opencode/skills/incident-triage in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Superset Incident Triage needs the command-line tools its instructions call (curl, gh, vercel and git). Our summary lists: The gh command-line tool and curl; Sentry MCP tools, when connected.
SKILL.md names 4 domains. In commands or code: status.superset.sh, relay.superset.sh, realtime.superset.sh and api.superset.sh; the agent is likely to contact these when it follows the instructions. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Superset Incident Triage has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.2k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
