hourly-rate-timeHelps decide whether a chore is worth doing or outsourcing by setting a deliberately high personal hourly rate, based on Naval Ravikant's ideas on time and retirement.
This skill turns a chapter on wealth from the Naval Almanack into a decision routine about time. The agent helps you set a personal hourly rate that feels absurdly high, then uses it as a filter: tasks worth less than that rate are outsourced or dropped, and the rest you do yourself. It also reframes retirement as not sacrificing today for an imagined tomorrow, and warns against raising your spending as your income rises.
The steps are to write down a rate and raise it if it feels comfortable, list the week's activities with their opportunity cost, outsource or remove at least three items that fall below the rate, check for lifestyle inflation, and recompute progress toward financial freedom as passive income against spending. It does not apply to rest, family time or deliberate relaxation, and it notes that outsourcing advice assumes spare cash flow, so you should budget first. Test prompts and test results ship with it.

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit a28de55. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Hourly Rate Time Value loads about 677 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 54 tokens; SKILL.md has 165 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Hourly Rate Time Value is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 677 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.7k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
