naval-almanackAnswers questions on wealth, decisions, happiness and life philosophy using capability notes distilled from The Almanack of Naval Ravikant, routed by intent.
The skill is an entry point to a book distilled into capability cards. A short set of standing principles covers wealth as assets that earn while you sleep, productizing yourself with specific knowledge, judgment over effort, compounding, happiness as a trainable skill and reading as a meta-skill, so overview questions can be answered from it alone.
For anything deeper, a routing table maps your intent to one capability file under references/capabilities, with one or two supporting files: wealth structure, productizing yourself, decision heuristics, hourly rate and time, reading, screen detox, judgment training, long-term compounding, principal-agent, happiness, game selection, acceptance, self-liberation and more. It is not for specific stock picks or financial products, clinical mental-health treatment, acute crisis (seek professional help first) or negotiation scripts with salary figures.
6 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit a28de55. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Almanack of Naval Ravikant Guide loads about 1.1k tokens when it runs, and up to ~32k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 76 tokens; SKILL.md has 117 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from kangarooking/cangjie-skill at commit a28de55, republished under its MIT licence (© kangarooking). 117 words, ~1,110 tokens.

Almanack of Naval Ravikant Guide fits situations like: asking what Naval's book says about building wealth; working through a big life decision using the book's heuristics; reducing anxiety or screen addiction with the book's happiness ideas; choosing what and how to read, learn or study.
Run `npx skills add kangarooking/cangjie-skill --skill naval-almanack -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (benchmarks/naval/prototypes/single/naval-almanack in kangarooking/cangjie-skill) into .claude/skills/naval-almanack in your project. About 1.1k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.4k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 31k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
