react-wrapper-devExplains how the @handsontable/react-wrapper package is built, from its components and settings mapping to selection handling and the generated TypeScript declarations.
The wrapper has four main pieces. `HotTable` is the public component, `HotTableInner` is a `forwardRef` layer that manages the instance lifecycle, `HotColumn` declares columns as children and `HotEditor` renders custom editors in a React portal. A `useRef()` holds the live instance, `SettingsMapper.getSettings()` turns props into settings, and every prop change calls `updateSettings()`. Around that call the code must save and restore the selection with `exportSelection()` and `importSelection()`, otherwise it resets.
Builds use Rollup 4 for CommonJS, ES module, UMD and minified output, tests run on Jest with React Testing Library, and the core package has to be built first because wrappers read from `handsontable/tmp/`. The TypeScript section warns that `scripts/prepare-types.mjs` uses an old `typescript` devDependency and swallows `tsc` errors, so a mangled `.d.ts` can still report success. Newer type syntax such as key remapping therefore belongs in core and gets imported.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 68b5e97. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Handsontable React Wrapper Development loads about 1.1k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 125 tokens; SKILL.md has 466 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 466 words (~1,136 tokens).

Run `npx skills add handsontable/handsontable --skill react-wrapper-dev -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.claude/skills/react-wrapper-dev in handsontable/handsontable) into .claude/skills/react-wrapper-dev in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.

With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add handsontable/handsontable --skill react-wrapper-dev -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/react-wrapper-dev, .gemini/skills/react-wrapper-dev, .github/skills/react-wrapper-dev and .opencode/skills/react-wrapper-dev in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Handsontable React Wrapper Development needs the command-line tools its instructions call (npm and tsc). Our summary lists: A checkout of the Handsontable repository with the core package built.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use npm, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Handsontable React Wrapper Development has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1.1k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
