handsontable-validator-devRules for writing a Handsontable cell validator: a callback-based function bound to the cell properties that must always call back and never modify data or the DOM.
A validator takes the cell value and a callback, and runs with this bound to the cell's cellProperties, so it must be a regular function rather than an arrow function. It has to call the callback on every code path, because a missed call hangs the validation pipeline and silently blocks editing. It only decides validity, leaving data, DOM and cell state alone, and the callback may fire after async work while the editor waits.
Validators sit in their own folder under src/validators and are registered through registerValidator. They are triggered by the editor system when editing finishes and by the validateCells, validateRows and validateColumns calls, and the invalid class on cells comes from the renderer pipeline, not the validator. Numeric, date and autocomplete validators serve as references. If a validator writes a corrected value with setDataAtCell, the source string must end in Validator so the correction is tracked when async columns resolve later.

Handsontable Validator Development loads about 742 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 43 tokens; SKILL.md has 257 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 257 words (~742 tokens).

Handsontable Validator Development fits situations like: creating a new Handsontable cell validator; changing the validation rules of an existing validator; debugging a cell that cannot be edited because validation never finishes.

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Handsontable Validator Development is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: A checkout of the Handsontable repository.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Handsontable Validator Development has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 742 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
