handsontable-e2e-testingGuides edits to Handsontable's frozen Jasmine and Puppeteer E2E specs, and sends new or broken tests to Playwright instead.
The legacy `*.spec.js` suite is frozen. New end-to-end tests belong in Playwright under `tests/e2e/`, covered by a different skill. A presence gate blocks any newly added `*.spec.js`, and adding three or more `it` blocks to a modified frozen spec triggers a non-blocking `frozen-suite-growth` advisory that expects a justification in the pull request. A broken or flaky legacy spec should be migrated to Playwright.
For edits that do stay in the old suite, the skill gives the spec boilerplate and the rules ESLint enforces: every `it()` callback is async and every Handsontable API call is awaited. It lists the global helpers injected from `test/helpers/common.js`, grouped by instance, data, structure, selection, DOM, plugins and theme layout, and tells the agent to prefer the bare global over `hot()`. Mutating helpers re-render on their own and must be awaited. The excerpt also points to theme-agnostic assertions, which it cuts off.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 68b5e97. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Handsontable Legacy E2E Maintenance loads about 3.4k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 94 tokens; SKILL.md has 1,391 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 1,391 words (~3,430 tokens).
“ESLint enforces: every it() callback is async, and every HOT API call (~50+ methods) is await-ed.”
