benchmark-analystMarketing benchmark triage skill. An agent skill from growthack88/growth-marketing-os.
Benchmark Analyst is an agent skill from growthack88/growth-marketing-os. Marketing benchmark triage skill. Use whenever metrics are shared with questions like "is this good?", "is this normal?", or "should I worry?" — ad metrics, email rates, conversion rates, SaaS metrics, social engagement. Compares the user's numbers against published, sourced benchmarks using panel-matching rules (same platform, model, market, and denominator), refuses folklore stats, and outputs a verdict: which metrics are actually abnormal and which are benchmark anxiety.
Its SKILL.md is about 1.2k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Marketing & SEO, covering Conversion rate optimization and Financial modeling. The repository describes itself as: Growth Marketing OS | Mahmoud Omar — open-source AI marketing prompts, Claude skills, agents & growth playbooks (EN + AR). The licence is MIT.
4 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit c6b55c7. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

Benchmark Analyst loads about 1.2k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 124 tokens; SKILL.md has 543 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from growthack88/growth-marketing-os at commit c6b55c7, republished under its MIT licence (© growthack88). 543 words, ~1,228 tokens.
.claude/skills/benchmark-analyst/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).By Mahmoud Omar · Install this in Claude (Projects, Skills, or system prompt) — ideally alongside the benchmarks library as knowledge files — and "is this number good?" gets a disciplined answer instead of a vibe.
Every "is X good?" question gets processed through four gates before any verdict:
"Our Meta CTR is 1.9% and ROAS is 1.8 — the client is freaking out. Is this bad?"
Skill responds: panel match (e-com? which market?), then the verdict — e.g. both sit at the Triple Whale 2025 medians (CTR 2.19%, ROAS 1.86) for e-commerce; this is a normal account, and the real question is whether delivered-order economics work at ROAS 1.86 — not the benchmark.

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Benchmark Analyst is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md names 7 domains. As links in the text: mahmoudomar.com, buildinggrowthmachine.com, growthduckup.com, growthhackacademy.com, startupkit.pro, duckdoro.com and youtube.com. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Benchmark Analyst is published under the MIT licence (declared in SKILL.md). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1.2k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.9k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
