Hri Workflow is an agent skill from brycewang-stanford/Awesome-Journal-Skills. Use to plan an ACM/IEEE HRI campaign backward from the full-paper deadline through the abstract-then-paper two-step, the rebuttal, the program-committee meeting, camera-ready, and the March conference, coordinating the parallel alt.HRI, Late-Breaking Reports, video, and Student Design deadlines.
Its SKILL.md is about 1.3k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Research & Science. The repository describes itself as: Journal-specific Claude Code/Codex skill packs covering mainstream journals — AER, QJE, Nature, Cell, 管理世界, 经济研究 & 200+ more — your fast track to getting published. | 覆盖主流期刊的… The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 932eb23. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Hri Workflow loads about 1.3k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 77 tokens; SKILL.md has 630 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from brycewang-stanford/Awesome-Journal-Skills at commit 932eb23, republished under its MIT licence (© brycewang-stanford). 630 words, ~1,318 tokens.
.claude/skills/hri-workflow/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).HRI runs an annual cycle that lands the conference in March, with the full-paper deadline the
previous early fall. The trap is that the study — a human-subjects study of an embodied robot —
takes far longer than the writing, and IRB approval plus participant recruiting cannot be
compressed in the final weeks. Plan backward from the deadline and start the study early. Dates
below are the HRI 2026 cycle (see resources/official-source-map.md); HRI 2027 (Santa Clara,
8-12 Mar 2027) is the live next target — reopen its call for exact dates.
hri-author-response.hri-camera-ready.Everything after the deadline is short and fixed; only the pre-deadline study window is yours to manage — so protect it.
Count backward from the paper deadline, not the abstract:
| Work item | Start before deadline | Why it cannot be compressed |
|---|---|---|
| IRB/ethics approval | 8-12+ weeks | Review boards have their own queues; no data collection without it |
| Study design + pilot | 8-10 weeks | A design flaw found after data collection is unfixable |
| Participant recruiting + running | 4-8 weeks | Recruiting real people to interact with a robot is slow; robots break |
| Analysis + effect sizes | 2-3 weeks | Pre-registered analysis, not p-hunting after the fact |
| Writing + video editing | 3-4 weeks | The video is a real artifact, not an afterthought |
| Anonymization sweep | final week | On the final PDF, data, and video — see hri-submission |
If IRB and recruiting will not finish in time, the honest move is Late-Breaking Reports this cycle and a full paper next — not a rushed study.
HRI is a multi-track conference; the full paper is one lane. For the 2026 cycle:
Decide up front which lanes you are entering; a study can seed both a full paper (this cycle or next) and a demo/video.
hri-camera-ready; finalize video and ACM+IEEE metadata; register a presenter.hri-topic-selection (RO-MAN, THRI, next HRI, or CHI), reuse the study,
and mine the reviews for the resubmission. HRI has no in-cycle major-revision round — a reject is
a reject for that edition.[Target edition] HRI <year> (<city>) — full-paper deadline <date>
[Abstract locked] title/authors/track by the earlier abstract deadline? yes/no
[Study readiness] IRB approved? data collected? analysis pre-registered?

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Hri Workflow is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Hri Workflow is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1.3k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 5.3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
