content-idea-generatorProduces content ideas for LinkedIn, X, newsletters or short video from your positioning statement, in quick, standard or deep planning modes.
Ideas come only after positioning is clear. The skill collects a positioning statement, the top frustrations of your ideal customer, recent wins or proof points, the formats you can publish in and any existing content pillars, and it stops if the positioning sentence stays vague instead of producing random posts.
Three modes set the depth. Quick gives five ideas straight away, standard gives 10 to 15 ideas with formats and rationale and is the default, and deep builds a content system with pillars, formats, cadence and a 30-day plan. Before generating, it reasons through positioning strength, proof points, platform fit and gaps the audience is actively asking about.
When positioning is missing, the skill sends you to a companion positioning-basics skill before anything else. If pillars already exist from the linkedin-authority-builder skill, new ideas are kept inside them rather than wandering outside.
5 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit f36b34f. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are markdown).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Content Idea Generator loads about 1.7k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 49 tokens; SKILL.md has 787 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 787 words (~1,728 tokens).
“Content without positioning is noise. Before generating ideas, confirm positioning is clear. If not, run positioning-basics first.”
