What it does

This is a local end-to-end test harness for Airbyte's `source-mysql` connector. The skill keeps the MySQL backend lifecycle scripts, fixtures and config templates, while shared orchestration lives in `airbyte-integrations/db-harness-lib/`. It starts a MySQL 8.0 container named `source-mysql-db-backend`, applies whatever SQL fixtures you give it, and runs the Airbyte protocol commands (spec, check, discover, read) against a chosen published `source-mysql` image through the `airbyte-ops` regression-test command.

Typical uses are reproducing a connector bug locally, running the whole sweep or a single protocol step against any image tag, and proving a fix by comparing a target image with a control image. Local-only mode needs no Cloud admin or secret-manager credentials. Scripts start the backend, apply SQL, reset databases and run the sweep, and defaults such as the root password, the `test_db` database and the output folder under `/tmp/source-mysql-repro` can be overridden with environment variables. Each step writes its config, stdout, stderr and a markdown and HTML report.
