auto-luhmann-numbererAssigns and checks Luhmann-style codes for book manuscript notes and Obsidian card folders without renumbering existing notes.
This skill assigns and validates Luhmann-style addresses for notes that belong to a book manuscript or card box. It keeps four kinds of code apart and never merges them: pure numeric book addresses with up to five levels (the 部, 章, 節, 項 and 目 divisions), letter-suffixed branch codes such as 1.1.a that grow off a book address, local Mandala section codes inside one Obsidian file, and K-numbered keyword index cards such as K001.
Existing codes are preserved: a new card gets a branch code instead of forcing a renumber, and compact variants such as 1.1.c3b stay as they are. The workflow identifies the source (a folder of Markdown files, project-note JSON, a HyperCard Markdown stack or an EPUB build), builds or loads a catalog of code, title, kind, source path and depth, then classifies each code. scripts/extract_book_codes.mjs scans a folder into a relative-path catalog, scripts/validate_luhmann_catalog.py checks a catalog, and build_skill_guide_epub.py builds an EPUB guide. When output is shared, real catalogs are reduced to a small public example without absolute paths or private titles.
6 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 287d0f4. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Ships 3 files in scripts/ (Python and JavaScript), which the agent can run.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

Luhmann Note Numberer loads about 1.5k tokens when it runs, and up to ~3.3k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 149 tokens; SKILL.md has 621 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.
Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 621 words (~1,505 tokens).

Luhmann Note Numberer fits situations like: numbering new cards in a Zettelkasten tied to a book outline; scanning a Markdown folder to build a catalog of chapter and branch codes; inserting a note between existing cards without renumbering the others; preparing card IDs for an EPUB or HyperCard Markdown output.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Luhmann Note Numberer needs Python and JavaScript for the scripts in its folder. Our summary lists: Node to run scripts/extract_book_codes.mjs; Python to run the validation and EPUB scripts.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
No licence was found for Luhmann Note Numberer or its repository. Without one, default copyright applies: ask the author before reusing or redistributing it.
About 1.5k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 6k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 1.8k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
