pine-developRuns a write, compile, fix and verify loop for TradingView Pine Script indicators and strategies, pushing code into the Pine Editor and checking it on the chart.
The agent first clarifies what to build: indicator, strategy or library, its logic, overlay or separate pane, and inputs. When modifying, it pulls the current source with a script into `scripts/current.pine`; otherwise it starts fresh. New scripts must carry a version 6 header, a proper indicator or strategy declaration, grouped `input` functions and clear section comments, and strategies add entry and exit calls, position sizing and default commission and slippage.
A push script injects the code into TradingView's Pine Editor, compiles it and reports errors, and the agent edits locally and pushes again until compilation is clean. Common error messages are listed with likely causes, such as indentation, misspelled functions and undeclared variables. After a clean compile it takes a screenshot of the chart and, for strategies, reads the performance results, then iterates by pulling fresh source first. It never reports the work as done without a clean compile.

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Pine Script Development Loop loads about 617 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 38 tokens; SKILL.md has 304 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 304 words (~617 tokens).
“You are developing a Pine Script indicator or strategy in TradingView. Follow this loop precisely.”

Run `npx skills add tradesdontlie/tradingview-mcp --skill pine-develop -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/pine-develop in tradesdontlie/tradingview-mcp) into .claude/skills/pine-develop in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add tradesdontlie/tradingview-mcp --skill pine-develop -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/pine-develop in tradesdontlie/tradingview-mcp) into .agents/skills/pine-develop in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add tradesdontlie/tradingview-mcp --skill pine-develop -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/pine-develop, .gemini/skills/pine-develop, .github/skills/pine-develop and .opencode/skills/pine-develop in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Pine Script Development Loop needs the command-line tools its instructions call (node). Our summary lists: TradingView Desktop connected to the agent; Node to run `pine_pull.js` and `pine_push.js`.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Pine Script Development Loop has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 617 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
