standupA skill your agent uses when the user asks for a standup update, work log, or activity summary — e.g.
Standup is an agent skill from tombelieber/claude-view. Use when the user asks for a standup update, work log, or activity summary — e.g. 'standup update', 'what did I work on today', 'work log', 'daily summary'
Its SKILL.md is about 3k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 1 other file.
It sits in Productivity & Automation, covering Meeting notes and agendas. It works with Model Context Protocol. The repository describes itself as: 10 Claude sessions running. What are they doing? Live dashboard — monitor, cost tracking, search, sub-agent visibility. The licence is MIT.
6 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit ff3cdd1. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:
mcp__claude-view__list_sessionsmcp__claude-view__get_sessionmcp__claude-view__list_live_sessionsFrom allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
npxFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use npx, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Standup loads about 3k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 41 tokens; SKILL.md has 1,076 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from tombelieber/claude-view at commit ff3cdd1, republished under its MIT licence (© tombelieber). 1,076 words, ~3,029 tokens.
.claude/skills/standup/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 1 other file; get the full folder from GitHub.You have access to the claude-view MCP server which provides tools for monitoring, analyzing, and managing Claude Code sessions. The claude-view server must be running on localhost (it auto-starts via the plugin hook).
Important: All tool names are prefixed with mcp__claude-view__. When calling a tool, always use the full prefixed name.
Error handling: If a tool returns an error about the server not being detected, tell the user to start it with npx claude-view.
Generate a standup-style work summary from recent Claude Code sessions.
Fetch recent sessions. Call mcp__claude-view__list_sessions with:
sort: "recent"limit: 20From the results, filter to sessions whose modified field (ISO 8601 string) is within the last 24 hours. If the user asks about a different period (e.g. "this week"), adjust the filter accordingly.
For the top 3-5 sessions by duration, call mcp__claude-view__get_session on each to get commit details.
Check for running sessions. Call mcp__claude-view__list_live_sessions to find any currently active sessions for the "In Progress" section.
Present the standup in this format:
## Standup — [today's date]
### Done
- **[project] ([branch])** — [1-line summary from recent_commits/summary] (Xm)
- **[project] ([branch])** — [1-line summary] (Xm)
### In Progress
- [project] — [model] — [agent_state] (from list_live_sessions)
### Metrics
- Sessions: N | Total time: Xh Ym | Commits: ZKeep each item to one line. The standup should be copy-pasteable into Slack or a standup bot.
If no sessions found in the time range, say "No Claude Code sessions found in the last 24 hours."

A skill your agent uses when the user asks for a standup update, work log, or activity summary — e.g. Standup is an agent skill from tombelieber/claude-view.g.
Standup fits situations like: the user asks for a standup update; activity summary — e.g.
Run `npx skills add tombelieber/claude-view --skill standup -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (packages/plugin/skills/standup in tombelieber/claude-view) into .claude/skills/standup in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add tombelieber/claude-view --skill standup -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (packages/plugin/skills/standup in tombelieber/claude-view) into .agents/skills/standup in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add tombelieber/claude-view --skill standup -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/standup, .gemini/skills/standup, .github/skills/standup and .opencode/skills/standup in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Standup needs the command-line tools its instructions call (npx). Our summary lists: Node.js. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: mcp__claude-view__list_sessions, mcp__claude-view__get_session, mcp__claude-view__list_live_sessions.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use npx, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Standup is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 3k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 12k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
Skills that share tags, products or a category with Standup: Claap Weekly Recap (Othmane-Khadri/YALC-the-GTM-operating-system, 318 stars), Sealeap Hundun Amazon Brand Store Page Setup (xjli360/sealeap-amazon-skills, 251 stars), Network And Relationship Manager (aiskillstore/marketplace, 433 stars) and Organize Google Contacts (aiskillstore/marketplace, 433 stars).
