google-hotelsSearches Google Hotels through the agent-browser tool for prices, ratings, amenities and availability, building a search URL from the location and dates and reporting a results table.
The skill drives a browser session named `hotels` with `agent-browser`. A fast path builds a Google Travel search URL with the location and, when dates are given, a protobuf-encoded `ts` parameter produced by a bash helper, then opens it, waits for the page to settle and reads a snapshot, in about three commands. Without dates the page shows starting-from prices. Locations can be a city, a neighborhood, a landmark or a specific hotel.
Results are presented as a table with hotel, stars, rating, price per night, total, the booking source and key amenities. The skill only searches: it never completes a purchase, does not cover vacation rentals, flights or historical prices, and must not leave Google Hotels for sites such as Booking.com or Expedia during a search. The date helper handles years 2025 to 2030. The skill is published under AGPL-3.0, and the excerpt is truncated.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 3704204. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:
Bash(agent-browser:*)Bash(echo*)Bash(printf*)From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are bash).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:
google.comexample-hotel.comFrom URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Google Hotels Search loads about 1.5k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 110 tokens; SKILL.md has 442 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from taracodlabs/aiden at commit 3704204, republished under its AGPL-3.0 licence (© taracodlabs). 442 words, ~1,484 tokens.

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Google Hotels Search is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: The `agent-browser` CLI for browser automation; A bash shell to run the date-encoding helper. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Bash(agent-browser:*), Bash(echo*), Bash(printf*).
SKILL.md names 2 domains. In commands or code: google.com and example-hotel.com; the agent is likely to contact these when it follows the instructions. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Google Hotels Search is published under the AGPL-3.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1.5k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 5.9k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
Skills that share tags, products or a category with Google Hotels Search: Web Access via Browser CDP (eze-is/web-access, 9.1k stars), Reddit JSON Fetcher (ykdojo/claude-code-tips, 10k stars), Web Search (freestylefly/wesight, 944 stars) and Ego Browser Search (taxueseek/argo, 186 stars). The comparison table on this page puts their stars, adoption, token cost, safety result and licence side by side.
