superset-settingsReads and changes the Superset desktop app's settings, such as theme, fonts, terminal and notifications, from the command line, including custom themes built from JSON.
The `superset settings` command works offline with no login and acts only on this machine. `list` shows every key with its default and allowed values, `get` returns the effective value and `set` performs a validated write. The agent is told to prefer `--json` and to run `list` to discover keys rather than guess; `superset` is already on the PATH in Superset terminals, and `SUPERSET_HOME_DIR` points the commands at a sandbox profile for testing.
Custom themes come from a JSON file, either written from scratch or exported from an existing theme and edited. A minimal file with a name, a `dark` or `light` type and a few colors is enough, because omitted colors are filled from the built-in base theme. `superset settings theme import` followed by `theme set` applies it to a running app live. The documented fields are name or id, type, `ui` colors, `terminal` colors including the 16 ANSI names, an optional `editor` block and metadata, and the names dark, light, monokai and system are reserved.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 6b94a61. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are bash and json).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Superset Settings via CLI loads about 2.1k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 89 tokens; SKILL.md has 715 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 715 words (~2,069 tokens).
“Change the desktop app's user settings from the command line with superset settings. Works offline, no login required; everything is local to this machine.”

Superset Settings via CLI fits situations like: changing a Superset desktop preference without opening the settings UI; switching to or creating a custom color theme; adjusting fonts, terminal or notification options from a script.
Run `npx skills add superset-sh/superset --skill superset-settings -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/superset-settings in superset-sh/superset) into .claude/skills/superset-settings in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add superset-sh/superset --skill superset-settings -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/superset-settings in superset-sh/superset) into .agents/skills/superset-settings in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add superset-sh/superset --skill superset-settings -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/superset-settings, .gemini/skills/superset-settings, .github/skills/superset-settings and .opencode/skills/superset-settings in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Superset Settings via CLI is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: The Superset desktop app with the `superset` CLI on PATH.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Superset Settings via CLI has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 2.1k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 8.3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
