mobile-demo-recordRuns the Superset mobile app on a headless iOS simulator against the local stack, drives it with Maestro and captures clean screen recordings and screenshots.
Mobile has no browser debugging protocol, so this skill boots the iOS simulator headless, drives it with Maestro and records with `simctl`, without opening a window on your screen. Four rules apply: record only real app state with no mockups, keep real data out of frame by using the dev account and a demo organization and checking every frame of a contact sheet for names, emails, repo names and tokens, take one take per story with state reset each time, and report what was recorded against, such as the worktree, API port, simulator UDID and app build date.
The local stack starts in separate Superset terminals: the API with `bun run dev`, a relay that runs `wrangler dev` inside a restart loop because it dies whenever a client aborts a request, and Metro through `expo start --dev-client` with file watching off, so it needs a restart after code edits and a pre-warmed first bundle. The skill also records traps, such as a cleaned-up Neon branch that shows up as a 500 password error.
4 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 6b94a61. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
xcrunbunbunxffmpegcurlFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use bunx and curl, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:
USERCONTENT_TOKEN_SECRETFrom names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Mobile Demo Recording loads about 2.2k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 64 tokens; SKILL.md has 1,061 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check noted patterns worth knowing about, such as sudo or a known installer.

It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 1,061 words (~2,225 tokens).

akveo/react-native-ui-kitten
Drives the Expo showcase app in an iOS simulator with agent-device to sweep every UI Kitten component in all theme and mapping combinations, reporting regressions with evidence.
garrytan/gstack
Tests a SwiftUI app on a real iPhone connected by USB, reading the Swift source and then looping through screenshot, analysis and action to find bugs.
EveryInc/compound-engineering-plugin
Builds an iOS app, exercises it on a simulator with XcodeBuildMCP and reports PASS, FAIL or PARTIAL with screenshots, logs and per-screen evidence.
garrytan/gstack
Takes a bug reported by /ios-qa, fixes the source, rebuilds, redeploys and checks the fix on a real device, saving a regression test fixture.
dotnet/skills
Resolves .NET runtime frames in Apple .ips crash logs to function names, source files and line numbers using dSYM symbols, atos and the Microsoft symbol server.
superset-sh/superset
Edits real mobile screen recordings into a configurable demo video with phone framing, title cards, cutaways and an end card, using a bundled renderer.
superset-sh/superset
Sweeps every Superset workspace, task and agent terminal to report what finished, what needs review and what is blocked, read-only, and can publish the digest as a page.
superset-sh/superset
Opens pages, takes screenshots, reads the console, clicks and types in the browser panes of a Superset workspace, with Browser Use as a fallback for other browsers.
superset-sh/superset
Turns a recurring chore into a scheduled or event-triggered Superset agent, drafting its prompt, picking a target and trigger, and reviewing the first run.
superset-sh/superset
Generates a Drizzle migration on a fresh Neon branch and runs a production-safety checklist for table sizes, lock order and load rehearsal before the PR opens.
superset-sh/superset

Mobile Demo Recording fits situations like: recording a demo video of the mobile app on the iOS simulator; taking clean screenshots of a mobile change for a pull request; verifying a mobile change in the real app rather than only in tests.
Run `npx skills add superset-sh/superset --skill mobile-demo-record -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/mobile-demo-record in superset-sh/superset) into .claude/skills/mobile-demo-record in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add superset-sh/superset --skill mobile-demo-record -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/mobile-demo-record in superset-sh/superset) into .agents/skills/mobile-demo-record in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add superset-sh/superset --skill mobile-demo-record -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/mobile-demo-record, .gemini/skills/mobile-demo-record, .github/skills/mobile-demo-record and .opencode/skills/mobile-demo-record in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Mobile Demo Recording needs the command-line tools its instructions call (xcrun, bun, bunx, ffmpeg and curl) and credentials named USERCONTENT_TOKEN_SECRET. Our summary lists: macOS with an iOS simulator and `xcrun simctl`; Maestro for driving the app; The Superset API, relay and Metro services, run with bun.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use curl, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found notes only (mentions a .env file), nothing it rates as a warning. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Mobile Demo Recording has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 2.2k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 8.9k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
