financial-data-entryGuides entry of a single financial record by collecting fiscal-year figures, validating them with a script and confirming before submitting to the financial-data API.
The skill follows a collect, validate, confirm and submit flow for one record at a time. It asks for the fiscal year (between 2000 and 2100) and a period type of yearly, quarterly or monthly, works out the period start and end dates, then collects revenue, expense, tax, payroll and invoice figures, treating anything you cannot supply as 0. Fields include total revenue, taxable and tax-free sales, deductible expenses, input and output tax, a VAT rate (default 0.13), a corporate tax rate (default 0.25), total payroll and invoice counts.
Before submitting, `scripts/validate_entry.py` checks field types and ranges against a params JSON file, and `scripts/submit_entry.py` sends the record to the `POST /api/v1/financial-data` endpoint, with a categories reference describing the fields. It needs Python 3 and the backend endpoint, and the excerpt is cut off after the validation step.

Financial Data Entry loads about 1.5k tokens when it runs, and up to ~1.8k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 80 tokens; SKILL.md has 577 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check noted patterns worth knowing about, such as sudo or a known installer.
allowed-tools: Bash, Read, WriteAutomated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.
Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 577 words (~1,466 tokens).
“Guide the user through entering a single financial data record into the system. The skill follows a collect → validate → confirm → submit workflow.”

Run `npx skills add Serein-81/financial_rag --skill financial-data-entry -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (rag_backend/skills/finance/financial-data-entry in Serein-81/financial_rag) into .claude/skills/financial-data-entry in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.

Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add Serein-81/financial_rag --skill financial-data-entry -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/financial-data-entry, .gemini/skills/financial-data-entry, .github/skills/financial-data-entry and .opencode/skills/financial-data-entry in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Financial Data Entry needs Python for the scripts in its folder and the command-line tools its instructions call (python). Our summary lists: Python 3; The financial-data API endpoint (`POST /api/v1/financial-data`). Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Bash, Read, Write. Compatibility (from SKILL.md): Requires: python3 Depends on: POST /api/v1/financial-data endpoint (create single record) .
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found notes only (pre-approves every shell command (allowed-tools: bash)), nothing it rates as a warning. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
No licence was found for Financial Data Entry or its repository. Without one, default copyright applies: ask the author before reusing or redistributing it.
About 1.5k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 5.9k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 292 tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
