Rules for several agents sharing one repository: an orchestrator tracks work in two tiers, workers write to scratch files, and every handoff leaves a pointer to an artifact.
Lets an agent read, claim, update and submit an assigned Agent Kanban task through the Realmroot Toolbox CLI, with progress notes and a review handoff.

ak-workerLets an agent read, claim, update and submit an assigned Agent Kanban task through the Realmroot Toolbox CLI, with progress notes and a review handoff.
The skill defines the life cycle of an assigned task using the realmroot toolbox command and the agent's existing Realmroot identity. The agent reads the task's instructions and acceptance checks, claims it before touching the target repository, and stops without changes if the claim is rejected, since only the verified agent assigned to the task can claim it.
While working, it records progress as task notes, does the work on a reviewable branch and runs the smallest checks that prove the changed behavior. Authenticated GitHub commands go through realmroot exec github. It finishes with a final note giving the outcome, the exact checks and any blocker, then sets the task status to in-review, adding a pull request URL when there is one. A claimed task must be submitted before the session stops, even when it is blocked.
5 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 7fea6dc. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are bash).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Agent Kanban Task Worker loads about 855 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 38 tokens; SKILL.md has 343 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 343 words (~855 tokens).
“Use your existing Realmroot Agent identity.”

Agent Kanban Task Worker fits situations like: picking up a task assigned to your agent on an Agent Kanban board; recording progress notes on a claimed task; submitting finished work for review with the pull request link; handing back a blocked task with the blocker explained.
Run `npx skills add saltbo/agent-kanban --skill ak-worker -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/ak-worker in saltbo/agent-kanban) into .claude/skills/ak-worker in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add saltbo/agent-kanban --skill ak-worker -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/ak-worker in saltbo/agent-kanban) into .agents/skills/ak-worker in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add saltbo/agent-kanban --skill ak-worker -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/ak-worker, .gemini/skills/ak-worker, .github/skills/ak-worker and .opencode/skills/ak-worker in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Agent Kanban Task Worker is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: The realmroot command line tool with a Realmroot Agent identity; Access to the Agent Kanban resources in Realmroot Toolbox.
SKILL.md names 1 domain. In commands or code: github.com; the agent is likely to contact it when it follows the instructions. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Agent Kanban Task Worker has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 855 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3.4k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
