rn-human-motion-extractorExtracts body and hand keypoint trajectories from an authorized reference video, with skeleton previews and confidence data, for pose reference or motion control input.
Given a chosen range of a reference video, the bundled script scripts/extract_motion.py records 33 MediaPipe pose landmarks and 21 landmarks per detected hand, with raw and confidence-aware smoothed coordinates, normalized x and y, relative z, visibility, frame index and timestamp. The agent first probes the file with ffprobe for size, frame rate, duration and audio, and sets up an isolated Python environment with uv.
The skill is strict about boundaries: the reference must be public or one you are authorized to analyze, source footage and identity-preserving overlays stay in the private project workspace, and only the pure-skeleton video and keypoint data are treated as portable assets. Short gaps may be interpolated, but long ones stay missing. The agent inspects the previews and qc/extraction-stats.json before describing fidelity, and reports coverage instead of claiming exact finger motion.

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 83d1783. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Ships 2 files in scripts/ (Python), which the agent can run.

Human Motion Extractor loads about 1k tokens when it runs, and up to ~1.3k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 88 tokens; SKILL.md has 458 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 458 words (~1,045 tokens).
“Convert a selected range of an authorized reference video into reusable motion data. Preserve motion and timing; do not package the source person's appearance, voice, subtitles, or footage as a reusable identity asset.”

Human Motion Extractor fits situations like: preparing skeleton reference data from a video you are allowed to analyze; generating a pure-skeleton preview video of a performer's movement; producing machine-readable keypoints for avatar motion control.
Run `npx skills add Pluviobyte/rnskill --skill rn-human-motion-extractor -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/rn-human-motion-extractor in Pluviobyte/rnskill) into .claude/skills/rn-human-motion-extractor in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.

Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add Pluviobyte/rnskill --skill rn-human-motion-extractor -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/rn-human-motion-extractor, .gemini/skills/rn-human-motion-extractor, .github/skills/rn-human-motion-extractor and .opencode/skills/rn-human-motion-extractor in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Human Motion Extractor needs Python for the scripts in its folder and the command-line tools its instructions call (uv and python). Our summary lists: FFmpeg; Python 3.10 to 3.12; uv for the isolated environment.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use uv, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
Human Motion Extractor has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.2k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 289 tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
