cmux-ghosttyWorkflow rules for the Ghostty submodule in cmux: rebuilding GhosttyKit.xcframework, pushing fork changes and updating the parent submodule pointer safely.
The xcframework must always be rebuilt with release optimizations, using a `zig build` with the universal target and `ReleaseFast` from inside the `ghostty` folder. Ghostty changes are committed in the submodule and pushed to the `manaflow-ai/ghostty` fork, and `docs/ghostty-fork.md` is kept current with fork changes and conflict notes. Because remote names vary between checkouts, the agent runs `git remote -v` first and pushes to whichever remote is the fork, usually `origin`.
To pull in upstream `ghostty-org/ghostty`, the agent adds it as an explicit remote, fetches, and then records the new SHA in the parent repo with a commit. The safety rule applies to every submodule, including `vendor/bonsplit` and `homebrew-cmux`: push the submodule commit first, never commit on a detached HEAD or a temporary branch, and verify with `git merge-base --is-ancestor` that the commit is reachable from the remote branch. Otherwise a later checkout or CI job cannot fetch the pointed-to SHA. `references/submodule-safety.md` lists the ordered sequence.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit f6532b1. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Ghostty Submodule and GhosttyKit Workflow loads about 580 tokens when it runs, and up to ~834 if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 56 tokens; SKILL.md has 200 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 200 words (~580 tokens).
“Always rebuild the xcframework with Release optimizations:”

NVIDIA/skills
Autonomous NeMo-RL research agent workflow for directed hypothesis testing and open-ended discovery.
ZaxbyHub/opencode-swarm
Apply when reverting commits, undoing merges, or recovering from branch contamination.
obra/superpowers
Walks the last step of a branch: confirm tests pass, detect the git environment, ask how to integrate, carry out your choice and clean up the worktree.
cursor/plugins
Digs into why code is shaped the way it is by checking git history, pull requests and connected tools in parallel, then reporting a cited read on the tradeoffs.
HKUDS/OpenHarness
Merges external GitHub pull requests while keeping the original author credited, and fixes conflicts after the merge instead of rewriting the contribution.
TryGhost/Ghost
Moves a package from another TryGhost repository into Ghost as an internal workspace package while keeping its Git history, with checkpoints for the steps that need an administrator.
manaflow-ai/cmux
Runs a read-only health check for cmux and explains what it finds, covering the CLI and socket, settings, agent hooks, session restore and notifications.
manaflow-ai/cmux
Reads and changes cmux preferences in `~/.config/cmux/cmux.json` through a helper that validates each change before writing, covering terminal, browser, viewers and shortcuts.
manaflow-ai/cmux
Sets the backend TypeScript and Cloud VM rules for cmux: Effect-based services, thin route handlers, Postgres as source of truth, migrations and provider secrets.
manaflow-ai/cmux
Covers debug logging, the Debug menu, profiling rules and runtime pitfalls for working on the cmux macOS terminal app.
manaflow-ai/cmux
Runs the cmux release process: gathers per-PR changelog lines since the last tag, bumps the version, guards against a bad tag, then tags and pushes the macOS DMG release.
manaflow-ai/cmux
Opens, inspects, and drives a browser surface through the cmux CLI without stealing the user's focus, always targeting an explicit surface handle.

Workflow rules for the Ghostty submodule in cmux: rebuilding GhosttyKit.xcframework, pushing fork changes and updating the parent submodule pointer safely. The xcframework must always be rebuilt with release optimizations, using a `zig build` with the universal target and `ReleaseFast` from inside the `ghostty` folder.md` is kept current with fork changes and conflict notes.
Ghostty Submodule and GhosttyKit Workflow fits situations like: changing code inside the ghostty submodule; rebuilding GhosttyKit.xcframework after a Ghostty change; pulling upstream Ghostty changes into the fork and updating the parent pointer; recording fork conflict notes in docs/ghostty-fork.md.
Run `npx skills add manaflow-ai/cmux --skill cmux-ghostty -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/cmux-ghostty in manaflow-ai/cmux) into .claude/skills/cmux-ghostty in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add manaflow-ai/cmux --skill cmux-ghostty -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/cmux-ghostty in manaflow-ai/cmux) into .agents/skills/cmux-ghostty in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add manaflow-ai/cmux --skill cmux-ghostty -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/cmux-ghostty, .gemini/skills/cmux-ghostty, .github/skills/cmux-ghostty and .opencode/skills/cmux-ghostty in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Ghostty Submodule and GhosttyKit Workflow needs the command-line tools its instructions call (git). Our summary lists: Zig to build GhosttyKit; A cmux checkout with the ghostty submodule; Push access to the manaflow-ai/ghostty fork.
SKILL.md names 1 domain. In commands or code: github.com; the agent is likely to contact it when it follows the instructions. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Ghostty Submodule and GhosttyKit Workflow has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 580 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 254 tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
