cmux-custom-sidebarBuilds a custom cmux sidebar from a plain-language request by writing an interpreted SwiftUI-style file that hot-reloads and binds to live workspace data.
cmux renders custom sidebars at runtime from a small SwiftUI-style file, so there is no Xcode project, build step or signing. The agent takes a described result, such as a sidebar that lists workspaces and lets you jump between them, makes the engineering choices itself and avoids quizzing you about syntax. The workflow enables the Custom sidebars beta flag, writes a named .swift file under ~/.config/cmux/sidebars, then validates and selects it with cmux sidebar validate and cmux sidebar select.
Saving hot-reloads the sidebar, with cmux sidebar reload to force it, and the agent checks that rows show real data and taps run the right command. Authoring rules say to bind to the workspaces context instead of hard-coded text, run matching cmux actions on tap, use Reorderable for workspace lists, keep the layout simple, cap long lists because the view re-evaluates about once a second, and stay within the supported syntax. The full authoring contract is available through cmux docs sidebars.

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 1e82fa4. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use curl, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
cmux Custom Sidebar loads about 1.6k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 95 tokens; SKILL.md has 624 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 624 words (~1,576 tokens).

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, cmux Custom Sidebar needs the command-line tools its instructions call (curl and swift). Our summary lists: cmux with the Custom sidebars beta feature enabled.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use curl, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
cmux Custom Sidebar has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1.6k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 6.3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
