happiness-skillGuides someone through a framework for treating happiness as a trainable default state, built around desire management and staying present.
Happiness is framed not as an emotion to add but as the state that appears once a sense of lacking is cleared, so the route there is subtraction: naming every desire as a contract not to be happy until it is fulfilled, keeping only one major desire at a time, and noticing when attention drifts into future fantasy or past regret instead of the present. Happiness is judged by calm rather than constant pleasure, illustrated by the source author's own move from a self-rated 2 out of 10 to 9 out of 10.
The executable steps are listing current desire contracts and demoting all but one, tracking how a day's attention splits between future, past and present to find the biggest leak, and choosing one daily practice such as meditation, a habit swap, acceptance practice or a companion choice. It stops and points to professional help if the user shows two or more weeks of low mood, and does not apply during a clinical depression, material scarcity or a safety crisis. A weekly self-rating from 1 to 10 tracks whether the baseline is slowly rising.

Happiness as a Trainable Skill loads about 660 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 52 tokens; SKILL.md has 166 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
