conf-papersSearches DBLP for papers from top conferences such as CVPR, ICLR and NeurIPS, adds Semantic Scholar data, scores them and writes a yearly Obsidian note.
The agent takes an optional year and list of conferences, for example 2025 with ICLR and CVPR, falling back to defaults in a conf-papers.yaml file that also holds your keywords. A Python script queries the DBLP API for every paper from those venues, filters titles by keyword matches to shrink the set, then asks Semantic Scholar for abstracts and citation counts only for what remains.
Papers are ranked by a weighted score of relevance, popularity based on citations and quality, with no recency factor because the year is chosen by the user. Results go to a filtered JSON file, and the agent writes a yearly recommendation note into the Obsidian vault, reusing the scan script from the related start-my-day skill to index notes you already have. ICCV and ECCV alternate years, so one of them may return nothing. The instructions themselves are written in Chinese.

Conference Paper Recommender loads about 2.5k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 56 tokens; SKILL.md has 468 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.
Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 468 words (~2,544 tokens).

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Conference Paper Recommender needs Python for the scripts in its folder and the command-line tools its instructions call (python). Our summary lists: Python; Network access to the DBLP and Semantic Scholar APIs; An Obsidian vault path.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
No licence was found for Conference Paper Recommender or its repository. Without one, default copyright applies: ask the author before reusing or redistributing it.
About 2.5k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 10k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
Skills that share tags, products or a category with Conference Paper Recommender: Paper Research on arXiv (XiaomiMiMo/MiMo-Code, 14k stars), PaperSeek Literature Search (MingfengHong/paperseek, 200 stars), Literature Review (K-Dense-AI/scientific-agent-skills, 48k stars) and Literature Search (gaasher/Agent-Loop-Skills, 174 stars).
