What it does
This skill produces a base cover image for an article using one unchanging visual system: classical scientific-engraving line work, contemporary screen-print color blocks, a fixed set of deep indigo, warm off-white and vermillion tones, and paper grain. Every cover splits into two related visual anchors, left and right, telling one scene rather than two separate posters, while roughly the central third stays low-detail background, with no face, key object or text placed there.
The agent reads the article's full text and pulls out a one-line judgment, one paintable scene, the two linked visual anchors and a minimal vermillion focal point, then writes a cover-brief.json following a documented schema and checks it with scripts/brief_check.py. A separate base image is generated for each target platform's own aspect ratio rather than cropped from one image. By default the process stops at the unlabeled base images: no titles, watermarks, logos or overlays, and nothing gets published, unless you ask for lettering in the same request. A contact sheet script compares three or more covers for consistency.
