seo-image-genGenerates Open Graph previews, blog hero images, product photos and infographics for SEO use through Gemini image tools and the banana extension.
Each /seo image-gen subcommand (og, hero, product, infographic, custom and batch) maps an SEO need to preset image settings: a 16:9 image at 1K for social previews, 16:9 at 2K for blog heroes, 4:3 at 2K for studio-style product shots and 4:3 at 1K for schema images. A 1:1 square is listed for social platforms.
Generation runs through Gemini via the nanobanana MCP server, which comes from the banana extension and must be installed first with ./extensions/banana/install.sh. Before generating, the skill checks that tools such as gemini_generate_image are present and, if they are not, tells you how to install the extension. The batch command makes N variations, three by default.
A separate audit-only agent can review existing OG and social images during a full SEO audit and propose a generation plan, but it never generates anything on its own. Reference files cover cost tracking, Gemini models, MCP tools, post-processing, presets, prompt engineering and templates.

SEO Image Generator loads about 2.1k tokens when it runs, and up to ~14k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 119 tokens; SKILL.md has 793 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

available. If tools are not available, inform the user the extension is not installed

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, SEO Image Generator needs the command-line tools its instructions call (magick). Our summary lists: The banana extension installed with ./extensions/banana/install.sh; The nanobanana MCP server connected; Access to Gemini image generation. Compatibility (from SKILL.md): Requires nanobanana MCP server.
SKILL.md names 2 domains. As links in the text: github.com and aistudio.google.com. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
SEO Image Generator is published under the MIT licence (declared in SKILL.md). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 2.1k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 8.4k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 12k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
