smcSignal engine for Smart Money Concepts trading that reads structure breaks, fair value gaps and order blocks to output long, short or flat signals.
This skill implements the Smart Money Concepts (ICT) school of price analysis as a signal engine built on the `smartmoneyconcepts` library. It treats a break of structure as a trend continuation signal, a change of character as a reversal signal, fair value gaps as likely refill targets and order blocks as zones where institutional orders concentrate.
Direction comes from a change of character, confirmed by a break of structure and filtered by fair value gaps. A long needs a bullish structure signal plus a bullish gap, a short needs the bearish equivalent, and conflicting or missing signals mean standing aside. Parameters include the swing-detection window, which defaults to 10, and whether a break must be confirmed by a closing price. The folder holds an example signal engine and two reference notes in Chinese, one on structure breaks and one on order blocks and gaps. Installation uses the `vibe-trading-ai[smc]` extra.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit e532650. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Ships script files (Python), which the agent can run.

Smart Money Concepts Signals loads about 356 tokens when it runs, and up to ~822 if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 44 tokens; SKILL.md has 133 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

It treats a break of structure as a trend continuation signal, a change of character as a reversal signal, fair value gaps as likely refill targets and order blocks as zones where institutional orders concentrate.

Run `npx skills add HKUDS/Vibe-Trading --skill smc -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (agent/src/skills/smc in HKUDS/Vibe-Trading) into .claude/skills/smc in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Smart Money Concepts Signals needs Python for the scripts in its folder and the command-line tools its instructions call (pip). Our summary lists: The `vibe-trading-ai[smc]` package, which provides the smartmoneyconcepts library.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use pip, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Smart Money Concepts Signals is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 356 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 1.4k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 466 tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
