At a glance

Renders MP4 videos from React and Remotion TSX code through the inference.sh CLI, with settings for resolution, frame rate, duration and codec.

  • Rendering an animated title or counter from code into an MP4
  • SKILL.md covers Quick Start, Input Schema, Available Imports and Examples, plus 3 more sections
  • Calls npx
  • Generating data-driven videos from React components

What it does

You pass a React component as TSX code that exports a default component, and the infsh app run infsh/remotion-render command returns an MP4. The code can import from remotion and react, including useCurrentFrame, useVideoConfig, spring, interpolate, AbsoluteFill and Sequence. Optional inputs are composition_id, props, width, height, fps, duration_seconds and codec.

Worked examples cover fade-in text, an animated counter, spring animation, passing props and sequences. The skill needs the inference.sh CLI (infsh), logged in with infsh login, and its shell access is limited to infsh commands.

When your agent uses it

  • Rendering an animated title or counter from code into an MP4
  • Generating data-driven videos from React components
  • Producing motion graphics without a local video toolchain

Example prompts

  • “Render a 2 second fade-in title that says Launch Day as an MP4.”
  • “Make a five second vertical video with an animated counter that counts up.”
  • “Use a spring animation to bring in a logo, and render it at a higher frame rate.”

Requirements

  • The inference.sh CLI (infsh), installed and logged in
  • Pre-approved tools (allowed-tools): Bash(infsh *)

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 743f46c. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:

    • Bash(infsh *)

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

    • npx

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

Links to these hosts (documentation or services it may open):

    • inference.sh
    • cloud.inference.sh
    • raw.githubusercontent.com
    • remotion.dev

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Remotion Render via inference.sh loads about 2k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 141 tokens; SKILL.md has 133 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~141
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~2k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

SKILL.md

Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 133 words (~1,984 tokens).
