product-strategy-sessionOrchestrates positioning, problem discovery, solution exploration, and roadmap planning into one multi-week strategy process.
Four phases run in sequence: positioning and market context define who you serve and how you differ, problem discovery and validation frames and tests customer problems through research, solution exploration generates and prioritizes opportunities by impact, and roadmap planning sequences the resulting epics and releases. The process typically spans two to four weeks with multiple touchpoints rather than a single workshop, and an existing artifact, a positioning draft or a discovery doc already in hand, lets it skip straight to a later phase instead of starting from zero.
6 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 1b5a524. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are markdown).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

End-to-End Product Strategy Session loads about 4.2k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 49 tokens; SKILL.md has 1,557 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 1,557 words (~4,168 tokens).
“Guide product managers through a comprehensive product strategy session by orchestrating positioning, problem framing, customer discovery, and roadmap planning skills into a cohesive end-to-end process. Use this to move from vague strategic direction to concrete, validated product strategy with clear…”

End-to-End Product Strategy Session fits situations like: needing validated direction before committing a team to execution; resolving two competing roadmap visions before an exec review; refreshing stale strategy across positioning, discovery, and roadmap at once.
Run `npx skills add deanpeters/Product-Manager-Skills --skill product-strategy-session -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/product-strategy-session in deanpeters/Product-Manager-Skills) into .claude/skills/product-strategy-session in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add deanpeters/Product-Manager-Skills --skill product-strategy-session -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/product-strategy-session in deanpeters/Product-Manager-Skills) into .agents/skills/product-strategy-session in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add deanpeters/Product-Manager-Skills --skill product-strategy-session -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/product-strategy-session, .gemini/skills/product-strategy-session, .github/skills/product-strategy-session and .opencode/skills/product-strategy-session in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: End-to-End Product Strategy Session is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
End-to-End Product Strategy Session has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 4.2k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 17k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
