git-masterGuides an agent through commits, rebases and history questions in Git, working from the repository's actual state and changing nothing unless you asked.
Every Git request is sorted into one of four modes before the agent acts: committing local changes, rewriting branch history with rebase, squash or fixup, answering a history question such as who changed a line and when, or only reporting repository status. It starts by reading the working tree and diffs, and treats a failed lookup, such as a missing upstream or main branch, as a gap to report rather than as proof of anything.
In commit mode it copies the message style already used in recent history, groups changes into small commits by behavior and module, keeps each implementation with its tests, and stages by path or hunk. It checks the staged diff before each commit and confirms the result with a one-line log afterward. It will not commit, rebase, push, force-push, reset or delete unless you asked for that operation, and screenshots for a pull request body must go through GitHub's attachment upload rather than files committed to the repo.
7 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit cbd7dd2. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
gitFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Git Master loads about 1.4k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 51 tokens; SKILL.md has 733 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 733 words (~1,360 tokens).
“Use this skill when the user asks you to operate on Git history or answer a Git-history question. Be exact, conservative, and evidence-led. Read the repository state before you infer anything.”

Packages finished React Router work into a draft pull request: branch, commit, push, a written PR body and the right GitHub labels.
wordpress-mobile/WordPress-Android
Commits and pushes current changes, writes a pull request title and body from the branch history and template, and opens a draft PR on GitHub after you approve it.
taskctl/taskctl
Publishes the current branch and opens or updates a GitHub pull request for the taskctl repo, after a pre-publish gate and with a description template matched to the change.
c5inco/compose-pokedexer
Handles Pokedexer Git and GitHub workflows: inspect changes, prepare commit messages, manage branches and pushes, and create or update issues and pull requests with safe file-based inputs.
exception-coder/npe_get_jobs
Analyze local code changes, automatically generate meaningful commit messages based on the changes, and push to remote repository (GitHub, GitLab, Gitee, Alibaba Cloud DevOps, etc.).
lobehub/lobehub
Creates a pull request for the current branch against canary, or splits a cross-layer branch into ordered stacked PRs so backend changes merge before their callers.
code-yeongyu/oh-my-openagent
Searches and rewrites code by syntax-tree shape across 25 languages with ast-grep, for codemods, structural queries and YAML lint rules, using a Python wrapper script.
code-yeongyu/oh-my-openagent
Drives a real browser through the omowright library, either the user's own signed-in browser or a separate browser the code launches, for forms, QA, screenshots and scraping.
code-yeongyu/oh-my-openagent
Tests the omo Codex plugin in an isolated CODEX_HOME with a local mock model, proving hooks fired through app-server notifications without touching ~/.codex.
code-yeongyu/oh-my-openagent
Finds, reads and reconstructs past coding-agent sessions across Codex, Claude, OpenCode, Senpi and many other local agent logs.
code-yeongyu/oh-my-openagent
Detects which languages a project uses, installs the matching language server, writes its config and checks it with a real call so diagnostics and go-to-definition work.
code-yeongyu/oh-my-openagent
Tests the opencode coding agent itself: its CLI, server, plugin hooks and events, the terminal UI under tmux, and its SQLite session database, using tested helper scripts.

Guides an agent through commits, rebases and history questions in Git, working from the repository's actual state and changing nothing unless you asked.
Git Master fits situations like: splitting a messy working tree into several focused commits; squashing or reordering commits on a branch before review; finding which commit changed a given line or file, and why; checking branch and diff state without altering anything.
Run `npx skills add code-yeongyu/oh-my-openagent --skill git-master -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (packages/shared-skills/skills/git-master in code-yeongyu/oh-my-openagent) into .claude/skills/git-master in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add code-yeongyu/oh-my-openagent --skill git-master -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (packages/shared-skills/skills/git-master in code-yeongyu/oh-my-openagent) into .agents/skills/git-master in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add code-yeongyu/oh-my-openagent --skill git-master -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/git-master, .gemini/skills/git-master, .github/skills/git-master and .opencode/skills/git-master in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Git Master needs the command-line tools its instructions call (git). Our summary lists: A Git repository.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Git Master has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1.4k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 5.4k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
Skills that share tags, products or a category with Git Master: React Router Pull Request Creator (remix-run/react-router, 57k stars), Draft Pull Request Creator (wordpress-mobile/WordPress-Android, 3.2k stars), Publish Pull Request for taskctl (taskctl/taskctl, 434 stars) and Git GitHub Ops (c5inco/compose-pokedexer, 143 stars). The comparison table on this page puts their stars, adoption, token cost, safety result and licence side by side.
