advmat-results-framingA skill your agent uses when an Advanced Materials result is sound but its central advance and significance are not yet sharp, or when a Communication's opening paragraph must double as its abstract.
Advmat Results Framing is an agent skill from brycewang-stanford/Awesome-Journal-Skills. Use when an Advanced Materials result is sound but its central advance and significance are not yet sharp, or when a Communication's opening paragraph must double as its abstract. Structures the one-advance narrative; does not run characterization or design figures.
Its SKILL.md is about 1.3k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
The repository describes itself as: Journal-specific Claude Code/Codex skill packs covering mainstream journals — AER, QJE, Nature, Cell, 管理世界, 经济研究 & 200+ more — your fast track to getting published. | 覆盖主流期刊的… The licence is MIT.

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

Advmat Results Framing loads about 1.3k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 72 tokens; SKILL.md has 590 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/advmat-results-framing/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).advmat-scope-fit returned Adv. Mater. but flagged the impact framing as weakAn Adv. Mater. paper is organized around one central advance — a new material, a new mechanism, or a new property regime. Everything else is support.
advmat-supplementary).If you have two co-equal advances, you likely have two papers, or one belongs in a sibling journal.
Materials referees reward a clean causal chain. Frame the paper so each link is explicit:
The advance lives at whichever link is genuinely new; name it, and show the chain holds end to end. A paper that jumps from structure to a device metric without the property mechanism in between invites the "why does it work?" rejection.
In a Communication, there is no separate abstract — the first paragraph carries the significance and must read as a self-contained mini-paper. A reliable four-move pattern (also the model for a Research Article abstract):
Do not open with a paragraph-long literature tour. The advance should appear in the first paragraph.
| Symptom | Move |
|---|---|
| Two co-equal headline advances | Split, or demote one to support / SI |
| Result stated as a metric only ("we reached X%") | Reframe as the new material principle that produced it |
| Novelty asserted, not shown | Tie it to the design rule / trade-off it changes |
| Structure→property→function chain has a gap | Add the missing mechanism link, or scope the claim down |
| Opening buried under background | Cut to 2–3 sentences; move detail to the body or SI |

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Advmat Results Framing is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
