At a glance

Builds an SEO strategy for a new or existing site: discovery, competitor analysis, site architecture, content plan, technical foundation and a four-phase roadmap.

  • Works in 6 steps: Discovery → Competitive Analysis → Architecture Design → …
  • Planning SEO for a new website before launch
  • SKILL.md covers Process, Industry Templates, Output and DataForSEO Integration…, plus 1 more section
  • Instructions only: no scripts, shell commands, URLs or credentials in SKILL.md

What it does

The process runs from discovery (business type, audience, competitors, goals, budget, timeline and KPIs) through competitive analysis of the top 5 competitors, covering content strategy, schema use, technical setup, keyword gaps and E-E-A-T signals, to architecture design that loads an industry template from the assets folder. Templates exist for SaaS, local service, e-commerce, publisher and agency businesses, plus a generic one.

The plan then covers content strategy, with gaps against competitors, page types, blog topics, cadence, author credentials and a content calendar, and a technical foundation covering hosting, schema per page type, Core Web Vitals targets, AI search readiness and mobile-first needs. A four-phase roadmap runs from foundation in weeks 1-4, expansion in weeks 5-12 and scale in weeks 13-24 to authority across months 7-12. Deliverables are SEO-STRATEGY.md, COMPETITOR-ANALYSIS.md, CONTENT-CALENDAR.md, IMPLEMENTATION-ROADMAP.md and SITE-STRUCTURE.md, plus KPI targets at 3, 6 and 12 months.

When your agent uses it

  • Planning SEO for a new website before launch
  • Building a content calendar and keyword strategy
  • Designing site architecture and URL hierarchy
  • Turning an SEO assessment into a phased roadmap

Example prompts

  • “Create an SEO plan for our new SaaS product site, with competitor analysis and a 12-month roadmap.”
  • “Build a content calendar and keyword strategy for a local plumbing business.”
  • “Design the site architecture and internal linking for our online furniture store.”

Workflow steps

6 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.

  1. Discovery
  2. Competitive Analysis
  3. Architecture Design
  4. Content Strategy
  5. Technical Foundation
  6. Implementation Roadmap (4 phases)

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 4b99de2. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Strategic SEO Planning loads about 1.1k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 80 tokens; SKILL.md has 413 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~80
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~1.1k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
