GitHub Review Iteration

Runs a loop on a GitHub pull request: fetch review state, triage comments into actions, implement them and resolve threads, repeating until nothing actionable is left.
Runs the same code review locally that GitHub's auto-review actions run on a PR, delegating to a fresh-context subagent so the review isn't biased by the main session's own reasoning.

local-reviewRuns the same code review locally that GitHub's auto-review actions run on a PR, delegating to a fresh-context subagent so the review isn't biased by the main session's own reasoning.
The skill explains why a subagent is required: if the user has been iterating on a diff, the main session has absorbed their reasoning and rationalizations and will anchor on it, missing what a cold-context reviewer like CI would catch. It first determines the PR or branch cheaply in the main session, from an argument or by comparing the current branch to main, then delegates the review to a fresh subagent with a self-contained prompt naming the PR, pointing it to read the review policy and the AGENTS.md files in touched directories, specifying the output format, and carrying any comment flag or extra reviewer instructions the user gave.
In Claude Code it uses a dedicated read-only subagent type for this, falling back to a general-purpose one if that is unavailable; for other CLIs it uses whatever fresh-session mechanism they expose, or tells the user to run the skill in a fresh session rather than defeat the purpose by running inline. Findings come back and are relayed to the user verbatim, without re-summarizing or filtering, and posting them as PR comments is done by the main session since the subagent itself is read-only.
4 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit fb22e5c. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
ghgitFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use gh and git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Local PR Review loads about 995 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 38 tokens; SKILL.md has 349 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 349 words (~995 tokens).
“Run the same review locally that the GitHub auto-review actions run on PRs (Claude / Codex / Pi). The review policy lives in REVIEW.md.”

Local PR Review fits situations like: reviewing the current PR or branch diff before merging; running a cold-context review after iterating on a diff yourself; posting review findings as PR comments.
Run `npx skills add windmill-labs/windmill --skill local-review -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/local-review in windmill-labs/windmill) into .claude/skills/local-review in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add windmill-labs/windmill --skill local-review -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/local-review in windmill-labs/windmill) into .agents/skills/local-review in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add windmill-labs/windmill --skill local-review -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/local-review, .gemini/skills/local-review, .github/skills/local-review and .opencode/skills/local-review in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Local PR Review needs the command-line tools its instructions call (gh and git). Our summary lists: The gh CLI; A REVIEW.md policy file in the repository.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use gh and git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Local PR Review has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 995 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
