forgetRemoves a personal fact or past event from Muse's memory and from reminders, summaries and scheduled work that could bring it back, after you confirm a plan.
Forgetting is treated as cleanup across the whole assistant instead of editing one memory note, since the same information may sit in conversation history, other notes, preferences, goals, scheduled work or created items. The agent first calls forget.plan, which starts a read-only subagent that reads references/artifact-inventory.md and reports where copies live, what should change, how it will verify the result and what cannot be erased.
The agent then shows you the scope, irreversible actions and limits in everyday terms and asks one direct confirmation question; silence, ambiguity or partial approval does not count. After a clear yes it calls forget.confirm to carry out the cleanup. It avoids repeating the sensitive text in tool arguments or reports, and it does not apply when forget it only means cancel the current task.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 38bbb45. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Forget Personal Information loads about 1.6k tokens when it runs, and up to ~4.8k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 89 tokens; SKILL.md has 926 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found patterns that need a careful read before installing.
Do not tell the user that their original messages may remain visible in theAutomated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 926 words (~1,643 tokens).
“Treat forgetting as cleanup across Muse, not as editing one memory note. Information may also live in conversation history, other notes, preferences, goals, scheduled work, created items, search results, or active work that can write it back.”

Forget Personal Information fits situations like: you ask the assistant to forget a personal detail, preference or past event; removing information from memory and from reminders that might restore it; handling a request not to remember something about you.
Run `npx skills add win4r/MuseAI-Skills --skill forget -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (opt/hatch/skills/forget in win4r/MuseAI-Skills) into .claude/skills/forget in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add win4r/MuseAI-Skills --skill forget -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (opt/hatch/skills/forget in win4r/MuseAI-Skills) into .agents/skills/forget in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add win4r/MuseAI-Skills --skill forget -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/forget, .gemini/skills/forget, .github/skills/forget and .opencode/skills/forget in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Forget Personal Information is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: The Muse assistant runtime with the forget.plan and forget.confirm tools.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md flagged 1 warning(s): contains instruction-override wording (e.g. “without asking the user”). Read the flagged lines before installing; the check is not a guarantee either way.
No licence was found for Forget Personal Information or its repository. Without one, default copyright applies: ask the author before reusing or redistributing it.
About 1.6k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 6.6k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 3.2k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
