What it does

This skill is for contributors working inside the Twenty repository itself, not for building apps on top of Twenty. It covers the first of six steps for a new syncable entity in the workspace migration system, and every later step depends on its types being correct.

The agent adds a metadata name to the shared constants package, then writes a TypeORM entity that extends the SyncableEntity base and carries an isCustom column, with JSON data held in jsonb columns. It declares the flat entity types and an optional maps type for indexed lookups, lists the editable properties while leaving out identity and timestamp fields, and defines the universal and flat action types.

The last part registers the entity in the central constants, which include the entity properties configuration and the one-to-many and many-to-one relation and foreign-key registrations.

When your agent uses it

  • Creating a new syncable entity in the Twenty server codebase
  • Defining a TypeORM entity that extends SyncableEntity
  • Registering an entity in the workspace migration central constants
  • Writing flat entity types and editable property lists for a new entity

Example prompts

  • “Start adding a syncable entity called pipelineStage to Twenty and do the types and constants step.”
  • “Create the TypeORM entity and flat entity types for a new syncable entity named savedFilter.”
  • “Register my new entity in the one-to-many and many-to-one metadata relation constants.”

Requirements

  • A checkout of the twentyhq/twenty monorepo

Workflow steps

6 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.

  1. Add Metadata Name
  2. Create TypeORM Entity
  3. Define Flat Entity Types
  4. Define Editable Properties
  5. Define Action Types
  6. Register in Central Constants

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 5fcbee6. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are typescript).

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:

    • ALL_MANY_TO_ONE_METADATA_FOREIGN_KEY

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Twenty Syncable Entity Types loads about 2.8k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 141 tokens; SKILL.md has 432 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~141
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~2.8k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

SKILL.md

Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 432 words (~2,822 tokens).

“Purpose: Define all types, entities, and register in central constants. This is the foundation - everything else depends on these types being correct.”
