js-runRuns web-page JavaScript without a browser, in a V8 sandbox with a browser-environment shim, for scripts that only probe the environment and compute a result.
The SKILL.md is in Chinese and describes js-run as a v0 sub-skill of argo that is not yet wired into the main chain. Given HTML and resources, it returns what the page's JavaScript computes, using the mini-racer V8 binding plus a shim for navigator, document and crypto. Logical time makes a long setTimeout finish instantly, and a single context is reported at about 1 ms at the median. You call it from Python through the JsRun class in scripts/jsrun.py, and tests/test_jsrun.py runs seven golden tests including a speed check.
It lists what it does not do: DOM parsing and layout, real network requests, login state or fingerprint continuity, and screenshots. Output should be treated as a lead rather than source content, since network data inside the shim has no real origin. The skill urges caution with anti-bot challenge scripts, limiting use to authorized or own scenarios, with bypassing third-party challenges off by default. It needs mini-racer and Python 3.10 or newer.

Ships 2 files in scripts/ (Python and JavaScript), which the agent can run.

No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use pip, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Browserless JavaScript Runner loads about 400 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 67 tokens; SKILL.md has 72 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.

Browserless JavaScript Runner fits situations like: computing a result from page JavaScript without launching a browser; running environment-probing scripts quickly and reproducibly in a sandbox; extracting state embedded in a page's JavaScript; checking what a script does with a simulated browser environment.
Run `npx skills add taxueseek/argo --skill js-run -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (sub-skills/js-run in taxueseek/argo) into .claude/skills/js-run in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add taxueseek/argo --skill js-run -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (sub-skills/js-run in taxueseek/argo) into .agents/skills/js-run in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add taxueseek/argo --skill js-run -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/js-run, .gemini/skills/js-run, .github/skills/js-run and .opencode/skills/js-run in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Browserless JavaScript Runner needs Python and JavaScript for the scripts in its folder and the command-line tools its instructions call (python3 and pip). Our summary lists: Python 3.10 or newer; The `mini-racer` package (`pip install mini-racer`).
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use pip, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
Browserless JavaScript Runner is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 400 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 1.6k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
