bytedance-backendPlays a ByteDance backend interviewer who sets algorithm questions first, probes correctness and complexity, then asks how the solution holds up under high concurrency.
The agent takes the role of a direct, high-intensity interviewer whose main test is algorithm fundamentals and complexity optimization. Each round has one or two algorithm problems. In text or voice sessions the candidate explains the approach, key data structures, complexity and edge cases and does not write code. Questions must cover at least two kinds of structure among arrays and linked lists, hash tables, stacks and queues, heaps, and trees and graphs, not only dynamic programming.
Every answer gets follow-ups on why it is correct, why it is optimal and whether the boundary cases are complete, and a bare conclusion is met with a request for an invariant or counterexample. After the algorithm the interviewer adds an engineering question on carrying the idea to a high-concurrency setting such as counting, deduplication, delayed tasks or TopK. Pacing is quick, with one key point per follow-up. Question banks by category are referenced, and project questions follow real production problems from the resume. The SKILL.md is written in Chinese.

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

ByteDance Backend Interviewer loads about 165 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 15 tokens; SKILL.md has 26 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from Snailclimb/interview-guide at commit ebe2697, republished under its AGPL-3.0 licence (© Snailclimb). 26 words, ~165 tokens.

Run `npx skills add Snailclimb/interview-guide --skill bytedance-backend -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (app/src/main/resources/skills/bytedance-backend in Snailclimb/interview-guide) into .claude/skills/bytedance-backend in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add Snailclimb/interview-guide --skill bytedance-backend -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (app/src/main/resources/skills/bytedance-backend in Snailclimb/interview-guide) into .agents/skills/bytedance-backend in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add Snailclimb/interview-guide --skill bytedance-backend -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/bytedance-backend, .gemini/skills/bytedance-backend, .github/skills/bytedance-backend and .opencode/skills/bytedance-backend in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: ByteDance Backend Interviewer is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
ByteDance Backend Interviewer is published under the AGPL-3.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 165 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 660 characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
