At a glance

Generates X vs Y comparison pages, alternatives-to-X pages, best-tools roundups and feature-matrix tables, with schema markup and verifiable data rules.

  • Works in 4 steps: "X vs Y" Comparison Pages → "Alternatives to X" Pages → "Best [Category] Tools" Roundup Pages → …
  • Writing a Product A vs Product B comparison page
  • SKILL.md covers Page Types, Comparison Table Generation, Schema Markup Recommendations and Keyword Targeting, plus 5 more sections
  • Reaches schema.org

What it does

This skill writes competitor-facing SEO pages across four formats: direct X vs Y comparisons with a feature-by-feature analysis and a justified verdict, alternatives-to-X lists with pros, cons and best-for notes per alternative, best-tools-in-category roundups with stated ranking criteria, and comparison tables with multiple products as columns. Each format targets a named keyword pattern, such as Product A vs Product B or Product alternatives.

For the feature matrix it lays out a markdown table template and requires that every feature claim be verifiable from public sources, that pricing carry an as-of date, and that the page be reviewed quarterly or whenever a competitor ships a major change, with a source link per data point where possible. It supplies JSON-LD templates for Product with AggregateRating, SoftwareApplication for software comparisons, and ItemList for roundups, plus a table of comparison-intent keyword patterns and their relative search-volume signal.

When your agent uses it

  • Writing a Product A vs Product B comparison page
  • Building an alternatives-to-X landing page
  • Creating a best-tools-in-category roundup with ranking criteria
  • Adding schema markup to a comparison or roundup page

Example prompts

  • “Write a Slack vs Microsoft Teams comparison page with a feature matrix and a verdict.”
  • “Create a Notion alternatives page for 2026 with pros and cons for each tool.”
  • “Add Product and AggregateRating schema markup to this software comparison page.”

Workflow steps

4 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.

  1. "X vs Y" Comparison Pages
  2. "Alternatives to X" Pages
  3. "Best [Category] Tools" Roundup Pages
  4. Comparison Table Pages

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 4b99de2. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are json).

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:

    • schema.org

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

SEO Competitor Comparison Pages loads about 1.9k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 91 tokens; SKILL.md has 675 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~91
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~1.9k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
