nix-code-reviewerReviews Nix expressions, NixOS modules and flake.nix files for style, naming, maintainability and extensibility, then runs nix fmt and nix flake check.
The SKILL.md is in Chinese. The agent identifies the kind of file, checks attribute, variable and boolean naming against references/best-practices.md, and inspects structure for oversized attribute sets, overuse of with at the top level and places where inherit would be cleaner. It looks for hardcoded paths or package names that should be parameters, proper use of lib.mkIf and lib.mkMerge in NixOS and Home Manager modules, unused variables and logic that lib helpers could simplify.
After the static review it runs nix fmt, and if no serious problems turned up and the project is a flake it runs nix flake check with a trace, then reports on flake integrity, formatting fixes and build definition errors. Each finding is reported with its location, a type of style, maintainability, extensibility, potential bug or flake validation, a short explanation, and an improved code sample with the design reasoning.

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Nix Code Reviewer loads about 289 tokens when it runs, and up to ~1.7k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 44 tokens; SKILL.md has 75 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 75 words (~289 tokens).
“协助用户编写更加整洁、惯用且易于扩展的 Nix 代码。通过识别代码库中的坏味道和反模式,提升整体项目的代码质量,并通过 nix flake check 确保 Flake 的完整性。”

Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add Ruixi-rebirth/flakes --skill nix-code-reviewer -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/nix-code-reviewer, .gemini/skills/nix-code-reviewer, .github/skills/nix-code-reviewer and .opencode/skills/nix-code-reviewer in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Nix Code Reviewer needs the command-line tools its instructions call (nix). Our summary lists: Nix, with nix fmt and nix flake check available.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
No licence was found for Nix Code Reviewer or its repository. Without one, default copyright applies: ask the author before reusing or redistributing it.
About 289 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 1.2k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 1.4k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
